Going to be really interesting to see what we do here in terms of do we try and replace him with an experienced player or just take all the picks to the draft, and potentially wear a potential hit to the ladder position for a year or two;

My preference now is to go pretty hard for Luke Parker and then bring in at least 2-3 other top 20 picks. That keeps us up and around contention in the interim, but also sets us up for the future, in terms of addressing the holes on the list.

I feel Parker signs a two year contract at Sydney he seemed very happy at the Bob Skilton B&F

What a thorough and illuminating response, I am simply blown away by the amount of evidence and analysis you have brought to the table.
I thought No was a pretty decent answer but if you want more he’s massively injury prone never gets games at Fremantle and would only be a list clogger at the Lions with many other midfielders ahead of him

Lyons never got games at Gold Coast. What specifically puts him behind our other midfielders?

That ain't true. He played 18 games one year and 19 games the next. He got dropped once or twice - that's miles away from "never got games".

3 Way Trade-
Brisbane get- Pick 6 (Carlton) & Pick 8 (Fremantle) Brisbane lose- Neale & Pick 47
Fremantle get- Neale & Future 2nd Round (Carlton) Fremantle lose- Cerra & Pick 8
Carlton get- Cerra & Pick 47 (Brisbane, originally WCE) Carlton lose- Pick 6 & Future 2nd

Then big possibility of the spare 800k going after Parker? If not, i see this as a win win. Dev plays more games, Rayner back in, Bailey more midfield. Still well in our window, we proved that when Neale missed half the year.

I have watched Blakey play live countless times over the last few years and he makes Matho look like the Bont. Horrendous disposal and only got some games at Freo when they were injury depleted.

I really don't mind if he goes as long as we get the right deal. Would happily take 6 and 8 for Neale. 6 and 8 as part of the deal is non-negotiable for me. We don't get it he stays and we push for a flag. No first rounders going the other way either. Just ridiculous. One of the best players in the comp with a few great years left and we're in a premiership window. Two years left on his deal they have to pay overs if they want him, simple. Different story if he's out of contract. Try to lure Dawson from Swans with future first and a nice pay rise. Luke Dunstun might be a handy short term stop gap who is a proven accumulator at AFL. Would suit our game style too. He was BOG against us this year and given the saints don't want him/ need him I don't think he would break the bank. Dev to play full time mid next year, no wing, with Rayner back too. Taking four first rounders to the draft and having Ashcroft boost future mid area next year is a no-brainer. Cya Lachie, thanks for the memories.

For me I start with 6 (pick 8 after father sons) and next years second. We want some points next year to give flexibility to trade our first latter down the track and still get Ashcroft.

I go down to 8 (10) and the second which is very fair for a 28 year old Brownlow winner with no material injury issues.

Freo are going to be under some pressure to make finals next year and Neale gives the best chance to do that.

We might know how awkward or not it is by club champion dinner night in regard to Neale informing us or not.
Not especially- with the injury run he had this year he won’t be in the running for too much anyway

I meant if he decides to come or not and the club was really blindsided. Not about him winning the award, we know he wont poll well with all the injuries.

Do not believe that the club wouldn't know. Three years to Lyons, two to matho.
