Honestly not sure with this vote - will likely change it a few times in the next 3 days.

Went with Kemp for now given the flexibility it offers to move other pieces around (Young forward, Doc / Williams up the ground / try Kemp forward). Could easily go Durdin or Fog for some speed and tackling pressure and another (mild) rotation in the middle.

Almost went Ed out of respect and for another mid rotation but didn't want any more slower mids in our 22.

Firmly don't want TDK and Pittonet in the same side and see JSOS, Harry and Young capable of splitting the minutes while he's on the bench.

If TDK is out, I expect to run the same structure with Pitto in his place.
Do you think they’ll risk H in the ruck?
Also, young is key defender and unlikely to be moved away from that important role.
So it really only leaves Jsos from the 3 you mentioned.

I meant in that area of the ground (forward for Harry/Young down back) but in terms of following the ball around while TDK is off field, Jack is the one we can most afford structurally.

This is the six imo

Kemp - possible
Marchbank - no
Newman - possible
Curnow - yes
Pittonet - yes

Parks - no
Williamson - no
O'Brien - no
Setterfield - no
Newnes - no
Carroll - no
Motlop - no
Fogarty - no
McGovern - yes
Durdin - no
Philp - no
McDonald - possible
Owies - no

I reckon there's probably only two or three in this list who I would be comfortable ruling out completely.

Don't see a realistic path for Parks or Carroll to be there come round one, whilst I'm reluctant to make a case for Marchbank given how long he's been on the sidelines, though this exercise assumes he's at full fitness.

A genuine case could be made for each of the other names here.

I reckon there's a good chance 10 of these guys are in the senior side come round 1 vs the Tigers.

Crazy.
I think you're probably closer to the mark. However I still think this group is pretty weak and reveals our issues with our depth.

I would say only three are AFL standard players on that list at this stage. There's a few with plenty of potential to get there but aren't there yet. There's also a few who were AFL standard but no longer.

Not enough love for Ed.

There is next to zero chance that Ed won't be in the team Round 1. He has finished top 5 in the BandF three years in a row!

While these things are quite an enjoyable read and really appreciate the effort made by Matty411 but they are basically meaningless. As others have pointed out there is a good chance that a minimum of 6-8 of the team won't be in the team Round 1.

Kemp on talent and versatility. Had him in my defence for those reasons.

McDonald on structure. Pitto too one dimensional. Not sure we go with JSOS as back up ruck.

Ed because Ed.

Will sit this one out.

A nice bit of self promo there Thy.

Looks like Kemp is a lock, so what does the 22 look like Matty411?

Kemp for me. Is firmly in my 22. Just can't see a new coaching group not putting faith in a player like Kemp. Will be one of their building blocks i would think.

He has so much versatility and dynamism to bring to the team.

Well done Matty for keeping everyone entertained for a fortnight. Is a good exercise to get the feel from a group of about 150 engaged supporters. Lots of different opinions around the edges of the squad.

Lets do a new one in Feb.

I don't think you can rule anyone out. New coach, new standards, everyone starts from scratch. Who knows who will put their hands up.

Very exciting
