Good info .. thanksWe haven't talked to him (at least of a couple of weeks ago)
Heard about any clubs that have ? Will be a nice get on back part of draftWe haven't talked to him (at least of a couple of weeks ago)
Yeah agree. Reckon it's very doable too, particularly if he gets past the SwansGood info .. thanks
I reckon we are locked into Barnett if we can do it at a fair price
Hawthorn, St. Kilda, Sydney, West Coast, Fremantle and Melbourne were the clubs who have talked to him from what I was told. Melbourne might be the least likely as they wanted further medical info on him after his OP issues earlier in the year. Apparently they're hoping he'll go later in the national draft, but sounding like teams won't be looking at him until into the 40's (again this was all from a few weeks ago, so things could change) and worst case (for him) scenario is he slides into the rookie draft. Some concerns on his ability to develop a forward craft apparently.Heard about any clubs that have ? Will be a nice get on back part of draft

You might be telling the truth but I'd have absolutely no idea because I don't follow soccer.Three lads in the World Cup squad, also add in Matthew Leckie who got his start to his career here.
I worry that a lot of the impressive stuff in Verrell's highlights - winning the hitout and crumbing it himself - he'd never get a chance to do at a higher level. Not too much wrong with the prodigious leap/athleticism and overhead marking/field kicking there.
I hope we weren't looking at Draper. I don't rate him at all.More need for us to draft a developing ruck too
Looked ok forward when he played WA in nationals , more than okHawthorn, St. Kilda, Sydney, West Coast, Fremantle and Melbourne were the clubs who have talked to him from what I was told. Yep ..forget the winning it after the hit out but look at how pure the leap and hit out is to start withI worry that a lot of the impressive stuff in Verrell's highlights - winning the hitout and crumbing it himself - he'd never get a chance to do at a higher level.
It's hard to know what he'd do in a higher standard competition.
Nope, it's been a feature of his game from U16's omwards, he's far and away the best follow up ruck in this draft and by a fair margin.I worry that a lot of the impressive stuff in Verrell's highlights - winning the hitout and crumbing it himself - he'd never get a chance to do at a higher level.

Definitely a vibe we are keen. I was surprised when we traded 23 but if if we think we could get him later, then T makes sense.Good info .. thanks

the only bloke in the league with a worse kick than ROBI hope we weren't looking at Draper. I don't rate him at all.

Was told he was liked the idea of going to Sydney since Matty Roberts was drafted there last year and he's mates with him. Honestly don't think he's bothered where he goes though, he just wants to play footy.Looked ok forward when he played WA in nationals , more than ok
His endurance is an issue , has the excuse of the OP , maybe that’s a concern too
Sounds like he has plenty of interest , getting taken in 40s is likely for him
Always makes me confident in a player if Sydney like him , they don’t get much wrong
Amazing how players at the back end of the draft don't seem to get homesick. Was told he was liked the idea of going to Sydney since Matty Roberts was drafted there last year and he's mates with him. Honestly don't think he's bothered where he goes though, he just wants to play footy.
Sure - not saying it hasn't been a feature of his game so far. I just don't know if that particular feature carries over to senior footy.Nope, it's been a feature of his game from U16's omwards, he's far and away the best follow up ruck in this draft and by a fair margin.
I suggest you check out his clearance numbers and stack them up against ruckmen drafted in the last few years.
Doesn’t need to it’s more the work before the clearance that transfers although he will also get some follow up clearances as that’s also a strength (admittedly under more pressure )Sure - not saying it hasn't been a feature of his game so far. Sydney makes sense , they desperately need rucksWas told he was liked the idea of going to Sydney since Matty Roberts was drafted there last year and he's mates with him. Honestly don't think he's bothered where he goes though, he just wants to play footy.
It's why I can also see them being interested in Barnett with one of their two first roundersSydney makes sense , they desperately need rucks
How is it any different for any draftee?Sure - not saying it hasn't been a feature of his game so far. I just don't know if that particular feature carries over to senior footy.
Crouch would have to agree to it and he certainly would not want to risk another club picking him up.
We currently have 5 spare list spots and can take 3 in the national draft.
For every one of Seed, Moose and Turner we plan to relist in the rookie draft, we gave up one of those picks (first from the rookie list).
We have kind of committed to taking each, but it didn't seem iron clad. We could also take Turner in the pre season draft with the list spot freed up by placing Seed back on the LTI list.
Just checked. Essendon picked up Baldwin and Waterman in the SSP last year with one list spot and an LTI for Mosquito.does LTI list window open up in the off season? Would be a bit strange.
Salary cap wise he need to stay in the list until the list lodgement date then will retire early next year in order for us to sign another player before the season starts. We couldn't afford to pay out his contract this year as we're already paying out Brown'sSeeds should retire.
