I do too but it would have to be a change in philosophy for AFC to select a ruckman that doesn't come from the rookie draft.
Hopefully after seeing ROB and Strachan performance this year, they can use a 2nd rounder on one

Personally would rather Keeler and get Verrall as a rookie

I wanted Reid and Ogilvie shown the door a while ago surely we can do better.

Ogilvie I agree with but have mixed opinions on Reid. He is only a part of the whole decision making and gets given the direction for the trade peirod which he then needs to go out and achieve. I think he does some good pick swaps.

I do agree we messed up our contracts on a few players leaving us little flexibility to do much this period.

as Gold Coast are doing for Bowes, i would absolutely do it to get back into the 1st round if we're passing on Pick 5 to GC for Rankine.

They're about to come into a LOT of 1st round picks this year, and if they offered one up for us to take on Haynes' salary, i'm on board.

I 100% believe we need at least a few more experienced heads around the club, and having Haynes support our two key backs in Butss/Murray can only be a good thing. IMO it would probably take some game time away from Murray, but we need competition for those spots, and with Frampton going out and McAsey looking like a bust, we need some backup there.

Nicks and the list management team surely have to work their magic here. We have a deal going through with GC & Rankine, and Nicks has connections through GWS, and we're unable to get in on these salary dumps at either club.

GWS have just done a Pick swap for its Pick 21 & next years 2nd, for Brisbanes Pick 15

GWS now has picks 3, 12, 15 & 19 in the draft, with deals for Hopper and Bruhn likely to come.

Yeah I mean there's a few obstacles to that, first is that we don't have the list spots, and there could also be some residual hate left over from the Hately deal, not to mention the fact there's almost zero chance North getting rid of TT

It's a shame. Thomas is exactly what we need in our midfield.

Yep, already admitted that I forgot Brown. His departure creates the 3rd senior list vacancy (4th if we change list structure).

Also we have an option to put Seed down to the rookie list ala Gibbs to create another spot?

That turns into a zero sum game once you go past 4x rookie list positions - putting a 5th player on the rookie list reduces the number of senior list players you can have by 1.

Would be nice to move at least 1-2 of the contracted players we don’t see a future in though. There does seem to be quite a bit of list movement happening across teams this year and Some potential good opportunities to fill another gap or two

I would have expected to hear a bit more about Sholl/Crouch/McAsey by now, if they were going anywhere. So far all we've heard is crickets. I'm not overly surprised that Crouch & McAsey don't have any buyers, but I thought Sholl might attract some interest.

I'm not so sure Will Verrall will still be available at that point especially after his one and only game in the last National game and his absolute dominant season in the SANFL U18's after that....and an invite to the AFL's National Combine that followed.
