Bailey Dale seems like the player we would chase

I’m keen; Seedsman seems done, massive question marks over Milera getting back to his best. Some more speed and quality ball use would be nice.

But - not sure we should be sinking more into a defender. If Dale can be a winger, yes.

Billy has us all fooled..none of us rated him much of a player until his shift to defence late last year looked like it might eork and as a newby there he has made some real improvement to his game. It seems he was just a defender in ruck / forwards clothes all along

Billy moves so damn well for a guy his size.

It just makes sense, all Australian defender probably wanting more midfield but not getting into the bulldogs midfield. He is south Australian too I believe

I really, REALLY like Dale, and think getting a zone breaking player is important (especially with Smith closer to retirement), but I also wouldn’t mind saving the cash for a more vital position, and investing time into developing a Parnell-type. I’m a bit torn

Find this a bit strange. Billy was traded in at the same time Nicks’ was appointed.

The cross - over time period would be pretty close. We would have done plenty of grunt work to get him before appointing Nicks. I wonder by that time he had verbally agreed to come and it was too late to back even if Nicks didn’t want.

You obviously haven't watched any VFL footy this season, Gould is lean and trim now, not too much "puppy fat" now....
