You bring up Weitering, know of any young KPD that don’t make it or do they all make it and it’s just a matter of time and confidence?

Attitude & Confidence are huge factors IMO ......trying to think of KPD players ...plenty of KPF's don't make it, but if Hartigan can make a fist of it, there's absolutely no reason McAsey won't

Are ..Finlayson, Jonas, Laverde, L.Ryan, Marcus Adams, Gardiner, Tarrant, better than McAsey potentially ......no

Tarrant, who's regarded as a great KPD, was criticised in his Draft year & early AFL career ...as being too slow & too short to make it

IMO there's a lot of similarities between Harry Himmelberg and McAsey .....Himmelberg is killing it, since going back into DEF

I would have kept Keath and let Talia go . He was shot mid way through 2018

Still not fully AFL Fit .....the couple of SANFL games I've seen, McAsey's impressed ....agree, just snippets, but enough to be excited

You can almost write last year off .....he wasn't in the zone to play footy ...on the backfoot, all year

I tend to be overly bullish on our young players but I have never really seen anything in Fish to make me believe he'll make it. Slow and goes to ground too easily.

Really hope he finds some self confidence and proves me wrong.

But it's looking likely that fish will flop and we will cast him out. Not the reel deal IMO.

That’s because Talia was cooked by the time Butts was ready for regular games. If Talia was fit for 2021, do you really think they wouldn’t have played together?

McAdam plays before Schultz and Frederick, though.

Freo have excellent small forwards, but limited marking strength. McAdam would be a very good fit

Ok I'd happily straight swap McAdam for Frederick and bring him home to SA

Nowhere did I mention the hypothetical of Talia staying fit. I said Talia/Keath proved to be able to coexist in the same side, and thus we shouldn’t be saying we were in a good position to give up Keath given Talia was healthy

The way it would’ve gone had we kept Keath would be a backline of Talia/Keath/Doedee in 2020, and then Butts/Keath/Doedee ever since. So yes, Murray would’ve been the victim of circumstance there

I agree in sense that Nicks is the right man for the job for the next decade, but I think the list needs more than 5 years to be a premiership threat.

Bailey Dale and Jordan Dawson from half back to a leading forward in the blink of an eye ... knows where the goals are too . A nice 4 year deal with option of a 5th at the right price might be enticing . What do you think he is worth on market at the moment .

Point is I don’t think they should be separated. The club would have expected Talia to be fit in 2021, if we have both then it makes it hard to fit in Butts
