If your theory was correct then it’s an even bigger mistake, but I do think makes sense.

Even in the msd You draft players to ideally be part of the club for 5+ years.

You don’t give that up from a quality player just so they can have an extra half a dozen games in year 1

What's your theory then, I'm genuinely curious. There is a reason we drafted Turner ahead of him so what is it?

I don’t have one, outside of Hamish & co just liked Turner more.

Looking at the VFL stats sheet Brodie Grundy 21 HO and Aiden Begg 16 HO well held by the Southport Rucks Brayden Crossley 29 HO and Riley Bowman 17 HO. Grundy 11 disposals 6 kicks 5 handballs 0 marks 8 tackles.

Struggled a bit from reports .....Grundy was understandably rusty

from memory Brad could earn up to $650k per year but the compo is based only on the guaranteed earnings.

VFL love Port Adelaide and hate AFC.
I think it has to do with us being more of a state team than Port, and them feeling Port is one rebuild away from having to fold (financial).

Well that too. There’s a “formula” that seems to get applied depending on who the club is.
See Frawley resulting in pick 3 for Melbourne in 2014.

we forced a player off our list over 1 DUI charge, 1 possession of nose beers charge.. and a suspicious photo…

cant see the conservative nana’s running our club accepting de goey and all his baggage into the side!..

Because it's not the same deal. In this scenario Crouch gets a lower deal

If I have learned anything this season, there will be wholesale list changes so Nicks can make it seem it was the players fault. Watch this space, but my prediction is three or more of who are scapegoated out at the end of the year become really good long term players at their new clubs. Who will be higher than us on the ladder and play finals.

I think we should’ve kept Stengle, but de Goey is a different story IMO.

His behaviour over time suggests to me he’s a pretty selfish individual who thinks being good at footy is a free pass to get away with a lot of shit, he might help us on field but I don’t really want him.
