As someone wrote earlier the rule was specifically changed for the Dogs to get Ugle Hagan. Why would they change the rule back when Collingwood had the issue very next year?
Awaiting a late change to screw Brisbane this year - or maybe they will wait until Welsh is a top 5 pick to revert back to the old way

Berg knows he's nothing but back up here, so if there was interest from literally anyone else, he would have gone.

So I don't reckon Frampton will be on our list next season.
Imo, Berg is the better of the 2 for depth.
Also may mean we are trading McAsey to the Blues.
FWIW a freo itk poster shut down the berg rumours almost immediately and said the club had zero interest in him. So definitely nothing in the rumours at all.

Why? ......it made perfect sense FREO would be interested .....obviously the CROWS also see something, albeit he's probably in that 22-25 list spot range

Have to admit, I was a little sceptical about the concept of trading out 3 different 198cm+ players in 1 offseason.

The disdain for frampton around here by some is hilarious..
Frampton is nearly always our best player in the SANFL week after week.. clearly you dont actually watch the SANFL games.
Given our KPD stocks it is highly doubtful they would simply delist Frampton..
We have literally no one else if Butts or Murray went down.. borlase maybe but he’s nowhere near as good as Frampton.
The rumour is that the Pies are actually chasing Frampton and Volbeat, who gets very reliable intel, has said the deal between the crows and pies on Frampton is all but done already..
If this is true I hope we can trade in or pick a KPD this season or else our KPD depth next year will be pretty much nonexistant.

I just think the club has finally realised a full SANFL game is worth more to our young players than the chance at 1 or 2 quarters of AFL gametime.
I said last year Davis and DMAC were perfect sub players for this very reason. I would have had him play it every week happily.

Players are never appreciated by their own supporters .....that's why we see so many posts regretting losing players, Keath, Lyons, Stengle, after they're deemed more successful after leaving the Crows .....yet, whilst here, were largely lambasted
Himmelbergs issue is NOT talent .....never has been .....it IS about his intensity ...and rightly so
But Harry Himmelberg also has the same laconic traits .....what they both have though is a high football IQ ....and that's not in dime-a-dozen talls !!
Elliot has played 11 games this year, he's 24 and will be in his prime the next two years .....so why ditch him, after the hard work has been put in ? ......yep, he has another 30% improvement to go, strengthen his hands, improve his intensity .....but you can't teach footy smarts

Yep .....but I still expect McAsey to be an AFL DEF .....we have the tall FWDS, and Gollant to fit in .....we're light-on in DEF for talls
Fogarty was played at CHB in the SANFL and in the MIDS .....it's experimental, developmental ....but doesn't define their AFL position

My disdain of Frampton, centres around an AFL game where he "gave up" on contesting 2nd efforts ......he's fine, if the game is on his terms
However a DEF has to be capable of competing, where FWD's are making repeated leads ......Frampton gives up, hence why he's been banished to the SANFL
