Everyone is a 'role player' in a team game - Hewett/Cerra/Cripps/Kennedy and Walsh - all have the body size and strength to match opposition midfielders if not beat them - I think the old Carlton of playing runts who can't or won't tackle , arent strong enough to hold their feet or shrug a tackle are over. The new coaching regime have all been part of teams that have destroyed Carlton on-field and came to the CLub knowing exactly what areas needed to be fixed and how to go about it.

This midfield is going to tear some teams apart this year - as they get better at playing together.

Yeah agreed. Capable of locking down and capable of going and getting his own ball and doing something with it. I think he's integral to our success this year. He's skilful enough to kick goals. Hopefully he can do this throughout the season.

Happy to have him as a defensive mid against the better teams, can roam forward more when the opposition isn't so good...

Just wanted to say thanks for all the player reviews throughout the offseason. Have thoroughly enjoyed them and kept me somewhat sane without any footy going on.
