Turner and the boys still playing SANFL won't be having their exit meetings until the SANFL side's Finals campaign is completed...pretty sure Tom Doedee said so in his presser yesterday. Might be the case he gets moved on but no way he's been told yet, Theo is just having a calculated guess.

Surely they would be having some sort of discussion with all the non contracted players? There wouldn’t be radio silence and then “Sorry pack your bags”

Not the ones still playing SANFL if we've got any brains unless they want them to check out early. It's one thing to meet your contractual agreement but it would absolutely be counterproductive playing wise.

Yes, that’s exactly what happens here.

If that is how it actually happens, it is the least efficient and messiest way possible to do it. I would find it very unusual if that is the case. What makes you so certain of this?

That would require an assignment or novation, and then significant variations on clauses that address salary, length, and any other changes to account for the differences between the contracts that the respective teams put in front of players.

Simplest way would be that the parties agree mutually to terminate the existing contract, and the player enters into a new contract with the new club. There might even be a specific clause which addresses termination resulting from a successful trade.

Crouch is the perfect replacement for Kennedy who just retired at Sydney , both good extractors with talented outside runners in Sydney team who can make Crouch look good .

The Crows are a young exciting team and that attracts players. I am not surprised we are being linked with players now. Rankine's interest will be appealing to others considering the move too.
