I love how blandster still thinks Gawns the best pure ruck in the game like he's basically had his eyes close for 3 years. Jackson's already a better pure ruck. Any move that allows Gawn to play more around the ground and less at flat footed stoppages is a huge win for us.

picks outside the first round have a 60% fail rate based on the last 10 years of data across all clubs so 5-6 key forwards drafted becomes 2-3 forwards. We're not going to hit on every pick in the draft.

Soft as, I reckon we get 10 and just play nothing but key forwards.

Also anyone who keeps banging the key forward drum over and over is a *******. Brown and Tmac have looked more than capable when we move the ball properly and Fritsch plays as a second key tall. He's too good to not have a heap of footy going through him.

So I'm very aware these player ratings are a bit how ya going but of current AFL players, Brodie Grundys the 6th best rated finals player in the comp. He tore up the 2018 finals series.

We definitely need to have a good look at Grundy. I mentioned earlier we have exactly one ruckman on our list when Jackson leaves. Goodwin wants to continue playing two rucks. I think he’ll keep looking at Gawn a lot more forward if we get Grundy. Similar to recent weeks. If we end up with Meek or other I’m just not sure we’ll be able to do it. And picking up a ruck from state league is a gamble in terms of walking into AFL.

I was thinking we put one in the F50 one in the centre and one in D50 and have them each ruck 1/3 of the ground.

Yeah agree. That’s what I’m saying Re Meek. We may not be able to play him and Gawn together effectively. We really need another mobile type and I’m not opposed to Grundy at the right price. We are we in the premiership window now. Make the most of it.

Collingwood seem to have done well losing clearance and contested but I’m scratching my head working out if that’s at all sustainable. Grundy automatically improves those areas. And he’s a better ruckman than Cameron and Cox. Not convinced they definitely want him out but they are probably looking at ways to few up cap space. I heard they offered him an additional year to spread the money out and he said no.
