In: Grundy, Pick 13, 2023 Freo First, Pick 37, Josh Schache.

+'s:

• Pick 37 for Weideman was good.
• Pick 33, 43 and 53 for Grundy was good

-'s:

• No top 10 pick for Jackson was a shame.
• Josh Schache. Not a huge negative. But would've preferred to roll the dice on a draft pick.

On a future fourth rounder, or do you mean taking an extra pick this year (70-odd)?

Can still take a punt on a KPF in the draft, while adding a serviceable depth player in Schache

Yeah. taking an extra pick this year. I like shiny new toys (draft picks). I just don't see Schache as serviceable like you do but to be fair though it would've been hard to crack the dogs forward line. And to a lesser extent Brisbanes.

I'm not a huge Hunter fan but he's clearly better than what we've got to play opposite Langdon. Almost sounds like he's keener on the move than we are though so not sure what the go is there.

We've already got a ducker in Spargo, and a few others that don't mind staging occasionally.
Leg speed is overrated imo. Blease and Hunt were fast, but dumb and had shit skills. A good decision maker who can hit a target is 1000000x more valuable than some fast campaigner.

So I'm supposed to all of a sudden rate Lachie Hunter and Schache just because ? They're not that good mate.

If we did nothing and just hit the draft with the Jackson picks I would've been more than happy with that when others here would've been complaining that we didn't bring in anyone.
