Ziebell and McDonald need to hit the running hard over the summer. I still believe that Luke can be a very good player (I think most would consider him a "good" player) IF he can slim down and become a tagger/defensive winger. With Logue and Clarke (possibly) coming in, Luke's role as an interceptor in defence is reduced and his role as a distributor out of the back half will be as well.

After four years, we may finally have the key position cattle to begin playing our mediums in the right roles. But all this comes down to how hard the older guys are willing to train and how much of a hunger they still have to make it.

Lmac has no fitness issues whatsoever mate. If the rest of the club put in like luke did on the track we might be able to run out games, with Jy and Goldy for the fittest at the club pal

He needs to be built to run not to play above his weight against bigger forwards as he has done over the last 3 seasons. He should be aiming to shed some kgs and be our go-to shut down mid. At present, he would not be able to play that role. If he could, he would have, especially with Dawson's arrival and the rise of Bailey in defence.

Today it seems to have shifted from can’t get Brad Hill, maybe try Lachie Hunter. Not necessarily keen on either but won’t complain if we got Hunter for like a future 3rd (would probably be scoffed at by a lot of people).

We obviously feel that we need better forward entries, he would go a long way in fixing that, but the off field stuff and deteriorating form doesn’t excite me. He has had multiple years up over 25+ disposals and always high for score involvement sort of stuff, do we back in being able to get him back to his best self?
Could be like a Scully to Hawks type move in terms of compensation as Dogs just try to get him off the books.
