AFL: All of you. You absolutely have to use 2 First Round picks every four years.

Also AFL: Just kidding you scallywags. Especially you Geelong, you little rapscallions. You can do whatever you like.

Hmm trading out two No1 picks in a row in 2 years. Has any club ever done that. Hard enough get a No 1 pick let alone trading them out.

Ashcroft will go pick one this year, we didn't trade pick 1 last year.

This is very true, yet in all likelihood, despite having two consecutive wooden spoons, we won't have a number one draft pick on our list.

We haven't made either deal yet.

Whispers of our interest in Tsatas seems to fit with being open to trading down.

Personally I’d prefer we keep it barring a staggeringly good return.

His footskills will fit right in at Arden Street.

GWS's huge draft hand

GWS already has five picks inside the top 20 at this year's NAB AFL Draft and now AFL.com.au's Damian Barrett is reporting the Giants have their sights set on North Melbourne's No.1 pick.

"GWS now wants pick No.1 and I believe the Roos are open to that," Barrett said on Continental Tyres AFL Trade Radio.

The departures of Tim Taranto and Tanner Bruhn this week means GWS already has picks 3, 12, 15, 18 and 19 in this year's draft.

Take all those picks for pick one. Be ruthless

They’d need to package up 12, 15, 18, 19 and get another one at the pointy end to peak my interest.

Le Grille wants to know …

Would port be able to get something good from gws by taking a Haynes salary dump? Then they can pay him $800k to play in the sanfl and take out money they could be using to get Sinn & butters to stay?

I don't think we'll give up pick 1 lightly, whoever wants / gets it will be desperate in order to get their preferred player with it, confident the deal would be staggeringly good.

Thank f*** for Todd

I love how 3 months ago he was sitting on his farm doing his own thing and now he’s thrust back into the action of Trade period and has literally place his balls on the table and said “don’t f*** around”

Seems under Brady the perception was we were soft. Not anymore.
Bloody love it!!
All you gota do is look at his son, you know if someone is like that then their dad took no shit.

On the other hand you have the browns and the silvagnis...

Any chance that we would take on Whitfield as part of a trade down? I assume that it would be a salary dump. His contract sounds disastrous.

Or is he potentially our next Polec?

I didn't paid much attention to him this season.

Lol the Giants wouldn't give up pick 3 (2234), pick 12 (1268), pick 15 (1112), pick 18 (985) and pick 19 (948) for pick 1 (3000).
That's a surplus of 3547 points, another pick 1 in exchange lol.
