Love your confidence.
Just can’t see how it gets done, unless:
  • gws or gc have agreed to trade for pick 1 (unlikely)
  • the saints agree to take our future 2nd for one of their best players (also unlikely), or
  • the saints are so thrilled that we’re taking one of their most talented players (hill) off their hands, they throw in another for a bargain basement rate (like real unlikely)
Any other option I’ve missed?
divine intervention?

No chance Freo would accept a future 3rd for Logue, let alone Logue and Tucker. PP future 2nd will have to be part of the Logue deal.

He is not contracted, can be walked to the psd…they don’t accept we walk him…

How about pick 1 for logue, tucker and pick 13?

blink-182 wtf GIF

One draft isn't the be all, end all. Would be crazy to pass up a Wardlaw or Cadman just for 2 later hits in the first round.
We have 1 pick in the first 3 rounds and will probably end up over paying for cooper who looks like a type we don’t even need? This draft is almost a fail before it’s even happened. Getting only one quality kid in a draft where you finished last for the year isn’t a win.
The only way it is a win is if that kid is a one-in-a-generation player.

My gut feeling is pp f2 for hunter & hill (or just hunter) and pp f3 for Logue and tucker…

absolute nowhere near enough for either

if we want clark we'd have to give him a low-mid teens pick, which would be absolutely worth it

i feel like people who think we're giving up a future 2nd or 3rd for logue are going to be sorely disappointed, just as they were with the PP result

Well the best we can get then. We can’t come out of this draft with only one quality kid.
Two average ones aren’t better than 1 good one

No one in their right mind is trading out of the top 4 this year, given how much it falls away. GWS is the only viable option given they have pick 3, but why the f*** would they trade another first to move up 2 spots.

We need quality not quantity.

Would you prefer Brayshaw or Coffield and Clark?

At this stage our draft hand looks like running like this.
pick1
cooper
pick 1 in the rookie draft.
Not so bad I suppose 1 year contracts in the rookie draft, better to take someone there than pick 60ish.
In terms of young talent, we’ve got a fair bit, it might not be a bad result,

we need to get competitive, which means less young kids in and developing players we have.
