Saints 7 A graders? Wowsers And *ing lol.
Try 1. And even he is bit of a butcher
What else would we get back
Nada.

In the event that a future 2nd doesn’t tickle their fancy, that would be my final offer for a man who wears a headband.

If they want us to take them seriously then the boy really needs to get a haircut.

Kanga lotto nomination would be early

Steele and Marshall are the only two on their list that I’d unequivocally love to have on ours. Oh and King, I guess, so when he kicks 2.5 every week I can go on like a stats nerd about how scoring shots are really important (they actually are, btw). St Kilda are so blah.

Someone mentioned that Bowes current $850,000 contract will be included in the salary cap of the team he goes to, even if he renegotiates his contract. If that is the case then surely Geelong don’t have the room?

If that isn’t the case then the whole system is f@rrked.

Can anyone confirm this?

Selwood, Dalhaus and Higgins are all gone, so that would be at least a million between the three of them alone.

I believe you can add additional years to a contract at whatever value you agree on but you're unable to change the initial terms of a previous teams contract if you're bring traded. For example: Bowes was signed at GC for 5x500k but ended up being heavily back loaded. His new club can't take those last 2 years worth and try to spread it out over the years that aren't included in the initial 5x500k deal.

Bowes will be receiving a fruit of the month Club box from the Costa group down at The Cattery . Included will be a cryptic clue on which piece of fruit not to eat if you know what I mean. Hawkins has been receiving them for yrs apparently.

He would have to be paid the SAME salary as per his contract over the SAME number of years.

But a club could negotiate with him to say add a further 2 years (to entice him over) at whatever they agreed to pay for those extra 2 years.

So in essence to beat Geelong we could say ok Bowes and pick 7 is worth doing and to get him over we offer a further 1-2 years at $600k (or what ever) which may sway him as going to Geelong he might end up just playing 2 years at his $850 then get shipped off or lowballed with the next offer..!

But yes the system is ****ed big time when Geelong can potentially get a better pick for (free) and a player like Bowes whilst the dual spooners who won **** all games over the last 3 years got pick 20 and 39 as Assistance Picks!

The only thing we can really push is that we give him first crack at a staring position- all clubs will be offering him extra years. He’s a talent
Could easily be playing in front of 5-6 guys that played most of the season for us- like ziebs, young ,hall, mahony , Perez ,sleevo

Hopefully clarko is chatting to him and tells him the wing is yours to lose

They are North Circa 2016 under Scott: Hanging on for one desperate lunge towards success. The only difference is, they are nowhere near it.

Incorrect. You can add years and smooth a contract out. Finlayson effectively took 3 years at port Adelaide for his salary he was on at gws over 2. Geelong will add years

Wing? Not sure that will entice him

Chris Scott said at Selwood’s retirement presser he was playing for a very low wage. Don’t think Higgo went for money either.
Don’t worry Geelong will now flip the narrative to say that they were on big money and it’s freed their salary cap.
