So thinking about these potential future firsts from Port and GWS.

Next year Jack and Polec will retire. Mahony, Spicer and Edwards probably won't get offered contracts and possibly Bonar too.
So we could have at least 5 (maybe 6) spots available. What a great position we'd be in if we were filling half of those spot with first round draftees.

1 out of 7 made it to the club they wanted after then deal doesn't happen. Port need to do it this year.

He needs a good year to get a spot for 2024.

If we traded pick 1 this year, the deal would start at pick 3 and a future first as just the base of the deal. That's for a player we haven't even seen yet. If Port think they'll get JHF for anything under that they are kidding themselves.

Do the have a common room at the psd meetings with a board to place your wants . Ports would be wanted a couple of high round 1 picks desperately needed willing to pay good money lol please call …. The clock is ticking . The picture of the Port players with their agent was a show of solidarity that they are sticking phat together, port supporters should actually like that as a sign they like where they are.

GWS are going to have way too many picks for spots on their list. The 100% will be looking to package up a few of them. If we get 2, then would def look at 3 of those firsts. Dangle one I. Front of Stk for hunter and/or try to move one into next year.

WTF is this guy on? Pick 1 is a premium and if you want to have the first pick of the draft, you would have to include a future first or another first. Points value is irrelevant.

No. We have a pretty damn good list already be it young and seemingly poorly guided. An extra pre-season and complete buy in from a coach who knows what it takes, we'll see vast improvement. We need quality not quantity.
