Port just have to come to the party with a player - going somewhere. To who it doesn't matter but they have to put up the capital.

One of the esteemed mods on the GWS board reckons 1 for 3, 12 and 18 is acceptable and I tend to agree.

I'm yet to see a compelling reason why North would want to link the GWS side of the deal with the Port side of the deal.

Just sort out the Giants first.

All these hypotheticals over North bending over backwards only make any sense, if we would rather Wardlaw and Sheezel as shiny new toys over Cadman and Judas Whore-Frankenf*ck.

I'd do nothing just to see JHF have to knuckle down in his "contract" year.

Don't understand who is making these scenarios up.

We already knocked back JHF for Pick 8 and Future 1st. But port somehow get JHF, Rioli, Rata for the exact same picks.

Whilst north get pick 2 and Future 1st for JHF, then pick 3 for pick 1..? Why are WC getting pick 12 here.

Port have to give up something if value.

In an ideal world we do the two trades independently but I suspect it’s because we’re not trading pick 1 unless we have pick 2 and Port’s unwillingness to involve an reasonable players means we have to find another way to get it done.

They would be taking advantage of GWS being desperate to get pick 1 and West Coast wanting to trade down to avoid Vic prospects at the top end.

I would prefer to deal with GWS separately tbh, but the club might think JHF coming back is untenable.

Someone better email the club before they let something stupid like this proposed trade go through. We win by not ****en trading anything and taking Cadman and keeping JHF. We lose if we waive our right to pick the best forward prospect in the draft and bin off JHF for unders. JHF + 1 for 2, 3 and a mid-late first rounder is absolutely dogshit in every scenario. Would genuinely be fuming if the club went through with such a munted deal.

We need an extra pick at the pointy end to increase our chances of pick 1.
