For the benefit of those playing along at home, let's recap all of this week's "Keys to Unlocking the JHF deal" :
Monday: Port's future third
Tuesday: Riley Bonner
Wednesday: Pick 2
Thursday: Dan Houston
Friday: A mega deal involving one-third of the league and the top 3 picks being traded

Boy, what a wild ride...and there's still so many questions to be answered:
Will North be shafted?
Will Port finally relent and give up a young player?
How many more teams can we rope into this deal?
Will the media stop being Port's ventriloquist dummy for this trade?

For the answers to these questions and so many more, tune into next week's edition of "Breaking the Contract Code: The Keys to Unlocking the Judas JHF Deal"
Well, actually I can give you the answer to that first one right now: Yes, we will almost certainly be shafted

If we give up 1 it means we want 2 or 3 back and another top 10 pick.
I’d only accept a future 1st if it came from West Coast, Adelaide, Hawthorn or *
Even then it’s too risky.

What everyone is missing is players.
Butters, Sinn, Whitfield these are the names that need to be discussed to get any of this shit off the ground.
Otherwise come Christmas we will have 2 pick 1s running around Arden st oval.

If North say no to whole deal and keep JHF, what do we think Ports going to have to pay for Rioli and Ratugolea?

I think it makes sense independent of what happens with JHF, no?
Yeah, maybe, there’s so many variables; let’s say we do the trade with GWS and we get 3, 12, 18/19 but Port can’t get 2 from West Coast done so we end up with 8, future 1st and something / someone. Perhaps we could package up 8 and 12 for 2 from West Coast would that work? I seriously don’t know it’s doing my head in!

This ones going to the deadline isn't it?

At this stage we will walk away with:
  • George Wardlaw
  • JHF in a sooky mood all year, before nominating Port

With this trade we might end up with:
  • George Wardlaw
  • Sheezel/Tsatas
  • death watching Port's pick (maybe top 10)
  • pick 18 or similar value in picks and players
And if we tell Port to go jump unless they get us a good player, and we just deal with GWS we get:

  • 1 of Wardlaw, Sheezel and Tsatas
  • a fun new project of trivial difficulty for someone of Clarko's talents (that's Jason)
  • a young elite tall like Jefferson or Busslinger
  • Hunter Clark

The mega trade is so insanely stupid and definitely another port leak.

If we trade #1 it's because GWS really really want it, and we can leverage that into an overpay. Ideally it's for #3 + #18 + F1, but I can see that F1 being #12 instead.

They key is that both us and GWS don't need any other teams involved to get this done.

Making it a "mega" deal literally only benefits Port, because they want to disguise the same garbage offer they started with.

That isnt a strong hand in next years draft.

We need an extra pick at the pointy end to increase our chances of pick 1.

Trading out both JHF and pick 1 this year is the perfect opportunity.
How so?

We still get more picks if JHF wants to leave and our picks are based on ladder position.

If we are still bottom, we might get something from the AFL.

All I ever read, is Port get 3 players they want and any future pick we get from them is then diluted, along with other picks we gave away.

I don't think JHF gone is a foregone conclusion.

Everything about the shambles of this trade negotiation suggests it was an impulsive decision from the Jason camp.

(sure there would have been secret discussions before then, but I suspect the decision wasn't made until the 11th hour)

I imagine Clarkson can be a pretty persuasive fellow when he wants to be, for players and parents alike.

So, the difference is:

- Sheezel/Tsatas & Port's F1
or
- sooky bum & pick 12 in a weaker draft

I'd rather just move on from the sook. I don't want a year if him sooking around and ruining moral. Give me Sheezel and lets start getting 12 months of development into him.

If you can deal with BigFooty sooky c***s (I mean bums) all year, surely you can handle JHFSB?

He's gotta go 100%.
Will be toxic all year. We don't need that shit.
