Going through the delisted players list there isn't a great deal of talent there, but for a needs basis the following could appeal for a variety of reasons:

Ely Smith - Bris, young midfielder
Liam Stocker - Carlton, young half back/mid.
Zane Williams - Geelong, small forward.
Jake Stein - GWS, Athletic key defender
Connor Downie - Hawthorn, hard running winger
Jackson Callow - Hawthorn, key forward

We absolutely should be looking at Stein, go back and have a look at his finals games last year.

I’m gobsmacked that they prefer Keeffe and Davis.

Always thought he showed a bit.

I’d be happy with either him, Stack or Downie. All fill a need and can provide some depth.

I’m not as down on Walker as some, he’s provided good service in difficult times but Stein is a couple of years younger and a much better athlete who’s literally been playing footy for about five years so actually has further scope for improvement.

Hey guys I don’t understand why so many people think that you guys lost in the JHF trade
The way I see it you guys made out like bandits
If you break the trade down and look at it like this.
You got pick 2 for JHF, which considering some of the red flags we saw from him and the fact that realistically, you would not have wanted him returning to the club under any circumstance,
thats massive win imo.
Then you traded pick 1 and got
picks 3 and future 1st that should fall in the 6-12 range.
When you take into account Ashcroft is the consensus number one pick this year and off the table anyway and
also take into account, that you traded pick one to GWS,
most likely with knowledge of which player they’re trading up to take at pick one,
I’d say there’s a very high chance you’re getting the players you would have taken at picks 1 and 2 anyway, plus add Ports future first to that and imo its a massive win for you club, only question is how massive.

Well done Kangas made the best out of a bad situation.

Probably already been said in here, but I wouldn’t know as I can’t read, but i reckon most on here think we done alright, but just wanted Port to suffer more.

We were all laying it on all week about how we were gonna bend port over, until they signed everything bar their AFL license over to us, and when that didn’t happen, we saw it as a shit deal.

We done well, it’s just that Port did great out of it, and that hurts.
