As I said, fingers crossed. But players in a situation like his don't usually go for big prices.

I'm picturing someone like Hoskin-Elliott - originally pick 4, had 5 injury affected years for GWS, was traded for a future 2nd. That feels pretty similar to Clark's situation.
That's one of the worst comparisons I've ever seen.

Ahahahahha [emoji23]

Tom Phillips

St Kilda has also been linked as a possibility for Phillips, but it would likely depend on if anything happened with Bradley Hill. Hill, who has two years to run on his contract, has been linked as an option for North Melbourne but there have been no trade talks between the Saints and Hill.
That will nearly do me in. He is one of the worst players I've seen play AFL football.

So Brisbane might be in a Grand Final next week, and will land the no.1 draft pick this year and another well rated father son, AND look likely to land Josh Dunkley, AND Lachie Neale is the best chance to win the Brownlow this year.

Somehow I hope it all goes pear shaped for them but if I was a lions fan I’d be over the moon right now.

If their team wasn’t full of dickheads like Zorko I might even be actually rooting for them this finals series.
Rather a team full of Zorkos than losers like Petty.

Bloody hell tried

All I got was McCartan and Alison FML
shocked kyle broflovski GIF by South Park

Sounds like you need some help to Atleast get you to chips and Joey

When I close my eyes I see a juicy future 4th rounder for Hill.
I have no faith they will deliver a premiership with this Administration and list.
Its back to the bottom and start again I feel.
I hope we are so wrong
But i see it as a tough couple of years coming up

For the old time posters, remember there was post after post about us not wanting to trade for Lachie Neale because he was a midget ball butcher?

How did that work for us?

Is Josh Walker a better option as KPD depth than Kyle Hartigan?
You couldn't be serious could you?

I'd like Brisbane to beat Geelong, just so i can see the look on Scott's face straight after the siren.
Nothing I would love more than Geelong getting beat this weekend. Well getting beat in a nail biter in the Granny would be better but I can't handle the risk of them winning it.

I’m happy enough to stand our ground even slip a couple of places just as long as we’re bringing in talented kids. Give me McKenzie and Humphrey or something like that and I’ll be happy. I still think clubs must have heard whispers about Tassie and I really don’t want to be old and crap when they enter the comp. We need more talent, most of it will come through the draft and 1 high pick at a time just doesn’t cut it. I’m not please at all to see Clark mentioned, he’s talented and young they need to find another way to get that pick.

They have a terrible record with recruiting though. Clark is literally the Mc Evoy trade but with no upgrade on what we paid. It just makes zero sense. Other than shifting magnets it doesn't even slightly meet any kind of logical thought process.

My GCS supporting mate, has said Fiorini is a ball butcher.

He is a little bit but not terrible. He'd be in out top 10 players IMO.

I'm not sure ot would be that open to rorting because if the player didn't want to be traded out, they're still going to want to get paid what they're entitled and their manager too - if clubs started playing funny buggers then player managers will become hard to deal with and clubs will be limited in getting players traded in.

In terms of Franklin, I'm not sure what you're referring ro, but with him specifically, the AFL told Sydney at the time that even if he retired, his salary would count towards their cap for the life of that 10 year contract because they wanted hom at GWS and were pissed about it.

If we looked at Hill, the $900k p.a. is an anchor in our negotiations. If he wants to go, I just think we shouldn't be burdened with that as it should be up to Hill and his manager to negotiate new terms and we deal at club level with North to satisfy a trade as compensation for losing him - what we paid him should be irrelevant.

We are under no obligation to trade him.
But the integrity of the system says he gets paid what his contract states.
Nothing stopping someone offering him 2 years at 900000 and 2 at 500000.

The Franklin thing wasn't just the AFL being shitty. The trade process has no integrity if you can outbid someone, then have the contract cancelled later.

Just close your eyes and imagine we take the next Dusty Martin.

And then open them and Matty Allison's cousin who is morbidly obese and playing Ammos is taken with our first pick because we thought we could turn a 157cm guy who's horizontal girth exceeded his height, into a ruckman. We don't get nice things.

Dusty was pick 3 by the way. If we could turn Hill into pick 3 then I'll apologise for calling most of the club idiots.
