100% we are in the same ball park as Cera here.

Clark vs Weller.

Same deal.

cerra got freo: pick 6!!!
weller got freo: Pick 2!!!!

and we are just accepting it will happen for a future 2nd rounder.

i'm sorry but its just not going to be acceptable to anyone if that happens.

Gags can over pay all he likes when he's trading in contracted players, because he wants to get it done to improve the list... but if he's also letting contracted players go for massive unders... we are in for a world of hurt.

maybe it's time we get a new list manager if this happens.

I dunno, not sure I agree. Cerra had 9 Brownlow votes in 76 games; Clark 0 in 68. Their averages might be vaguely similar (Cerra higher) but clearly Cerra had more very good games before he was traded.

If he believes the club are pushing him out that could change things considerably.

Seems bizarre that we’d want him gone for a pick that is not likely to get us someone better than him though.

Unless there are things we’re not aware of holding him back.

Most likely things we're not aware of. If we're convinced he's not going to succeed at the Saints then any pick we get for him is a positive. If they've tried everything to give him the kick up the arse he needs and he hasn't responded then trading is the only rational thing to do.

Here we go again, that’s a question for the bulldogs but I’d imagine they were pretty happy in 2021. Josh Bruce as a contracted key forward was absolutely worth more.

Sums things up pretty well.
But as it turned out, in real life, he wasn't a bargain. He been ordinary at best.
St Kilda were right to get rid of him and his massive wages.

The club acknowledged at the time that in order for us to get the 6 deals done that year, we had to be prepared to deal with taking an L or two in order to get everything done.

No way you get them all done if you fight tooth-and-nail for a great result on all 6 trades.
It’s always the same, excuses for the latest stuff up. What was that great result, how’s it look now. We need to get serious about hiring the right people because all I see at present is a club on the edge of a cliff.

Sorry, I think I have missed something. How did Huter Clark's name get dragged into the trade news? Did Hunter, his management or the club indicate that he's/the club is happy for a trade? All I have read was Saints don't have bargaining chips maybe Clark would get Saints a first round to he's going to North for their round 2 2023 pp pick. Sounds like real trash reporting from the footy media.

My comments seem to be getting deleted when there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. I'm confused.

You probably quoted the troll instead of just reporting and ignoring, all quotes were deleted

Yes every time we need to do six deals with 5 players coming in we use that excuse.
Happens every year.
As it turns out a 3rd for Bruce was a bargain. Will be delisted when uncontracted.

Seems like a lot of our supporters prefer the past , they can't see we now have quality in every department and they are professionals and finally it looks like we are removing weak links in the team.
Absolutely Premium. Unfortunately are failed past is fuelling extra pressure on the present performance and only instant success relieve that to some

Where there’s smoke there’s usually fire. It’d be really good if a Lethelan, ratten, etc, would come out and just flat out say he’s a required player for 2023, but it’s complete silence.

Ratten has basically been at the club 3 years and I'm pretty sure they know what we lack and hopefully he can fill the gaps this trade and draft period.
All the players that have been mentioned to be traded would of hardly made a difference to the team the last couple years.
However whoever they replace I expect something better to replace them.
