It’s always the same, excuses for the latest stuff up. What was that great result, how’s it look now. We need to get serious about hiring the right people because all I see at present is a club on the edge of a cliff.

That’s a rubbish response.

You could basically just trot that out to defend any illogical or pain untrue argument you put forward.

It wasn’t a “stuff up” and you’re simply not going to win every trade when you need to get that many deals done and need to het more picks in.

We got the equivalent of pick 22 for him and turned that into Zac Jones and Ryan Byrnes, and Jones had a top 6 finish in the B&F in his first year here and helped us make the finals for the first time in a decade and played some excellent footy in his 2nd season as well.

Then looked to be killing it going into this year until whatever personal issues completely derailed his season.

So he and Bruce have had similar output in the time since the trades, and that’s not including Byrnes, who may or may not have a good career.

It’s the very last hill anyone should be dying on. Or equal with the Luke “I play for Casey” Dunstan hill.

Ratten has basically been at the club 3 years and I'm pretty sure they know what we lack and hopefully he can fill the gaps this trade and draft period.
All the players that have been mentioned to be traded would of hardly made a difference to the team the last couple years.
However whoever they replace I expect something better to replace them.

Agreed. Our list is comprised, which I think is mainly due to poor player development and gaps in our list. Our midfield is so B Grade which is where we get beaten in games, puts the backs under pressure and provides poor delivery into our forward line.
It will be interesting to see the outcome of the review especially off field with Sexton.
Ratten deserves a stay due to the failures of our list. We’ll see what support he gets…
