Like everyone in here, just had enough of the lack of info been detailed by the club and decided to do something about it .I think Nicks reaction to the no go for the Bowes trade tipped me over the edge .
I rang the club and asked about all the questions we need answers on. Here we go.
Bowes deal involves 2 million of salary cap,of which we are not prepared to pay as we have young mids in need of a pay rise.
It was reported 850k is owed to him from past contracts not paid.
‘Hunter Clarke has not requested a trade and we have not had any such conversation with him .
The lack of communication about players is nothing to see here and we do not comment on speculation through the media.
The much awaited report was tried to spin a positive but I said it’s too late.It should have been completed 2 weeks ago.
Anyway at least he took my call and in summary i believe we are sitting on our hands until the report is completed.

If it's real and you actually managed to speak to someone high enough in the organisation to give you legit answers to these questions then I'm gobsmacked. Why would anyone at the club feel it's necessary to speak with a random on the phone who calls up trying to get answers about potential trades.

What should be private in anything that was shared? It's pretty much all public knowledge...the particulars around $2m in cap I don't think are public but who cares if we declined already

The Suns are trying to buy their way out of incompetent mismanagement of their salary cap. Fair enough, but then they demand a pick coming back their way as part of the deal.

Seriously. They deserve to be left holding the ticking parcel. I hope it happens.

In fact Geelong should just tell them outright that it’s pick 7 with very little or nothing coming back their way.

Good business by the Cats if it happens (as galling as it would be). But I’d rather see Gold Coast pay properly for their incompetence. Make them eat a shit sandwich.
