It really cannot be 7 + Bowes for GC getting nothing back. Surely they just mean 7 can be involved?
e.g. if we offer

pick 9 + 55 + Long for
7+22+ Bowes

So we upgrade 9 to 7 and get an early second round pick for Long..

Would people go for that? I personally think it is still a good deal.

I think the offer should be

Long + 27 out
Bowes + 7 in

Long wants to go there we dont wanna offload him plus the salary.

We have to win it otherwise we wouldnt bother.

Sounds like I'm the only one who doesn't rate Weiderman.

Wouldn't touch him with a 10ft pole. He's barely average with his output in one of the best teams in the AFL

I agree. I haven’t seen enough of him at senior level that shows me he can be a consistent AFL player.

Does some nice things but isn’t physical enough or intense enough. He has ability though. He needs impose himself in games.

Whilst i completely agree with this he is a needs guy not a star.

We need a second key forward who can backup ruck. He doesnt have to be a star.

Worth a speculator and if he doesnt work out no biggie. King is still gonna get monstered and Roma is still going to do 80% gametime in the ruck. Weideman might mean they both get 20% better.
