Scoops said so it must be true
I hate to say it but a lot of this so called stars are heading to the exist doors once they get a bit of heat , might be good that a few of these guys are moved on - just attempt to get the best possible deal.

Hunter Clark is a massive let down if he goes , but let's reload and get it right this time.

I don't think anyone who is a supporter would like to lose a pick 7 pick when we have put so much development into him.
However if he wants out so be it - we can't flog a dead horse.

We can try

A lot of clubs would love to dump a few players they have on long term contracts - Hawks with Mitchell and JOM , Pies with Grundy , West Coast with McGovern , Gaff , Yeo , Shuey , GWS with Haynes , Whitfield , Coniglio , Crows with Crouch.

All clubs have got players they would like to get off there books and we will see in the next couple days who gets shown the door.

Why do people on here think pick 3 for Clark and 9 would be good for us? Values him at pick 25. Hunter and pick 28 for pick 3 values him at pick 8 which for a contracted former pick 7 seems about right
I wouldn’t trade him but if pick 9 is involved the club needs a board spill and a broom put through the halfwits running the place. Walsh, we need more high end talent, noble, I wouldn’t trade him, but that little turd from SA Gallagher will end up gone but not before 1 final act of stupidity.

Yep crazy, like little kids with money at a toy shop. We have no real need to move up but any deal is better than going home empty handed.
Clark for 3 bags of Wizz Fizz, 20 Caramel buds, 10 Redskins, 10 Spearmint Leaves 2 boxes of **** and handful of chocolate freckles ...... where do we sign ....

I’d trade 9 & Clark for pick 3.

The opportunity to pick a genuine top line midfielder doesn’t come around often when you’re a mid table side.

Tsitas or Wardlaw add some serious class to the workhorse nature of Owens & Windhager. Whilst they’re both ready to have a greater potential impact than Clark from the onset.

On draft points it does.

But what club in their right mind would trade pick 3 for 9 and 25?

Top end talent is mostly taken at the top end of the draft and there is a clear top 4 players

I doubt North do it anyway

They also remain hopeful of trading for St Kilda’s Hunter Clark, who Rawlings said was “keen to come” if the Saints have a late change of heart and are willing to part with him.

“We got to a point where we didn’t think that we could get the best footy out of (Horne-Francis), if he was to stay in Melbourne for another year, given how strong the pull home is,” Rawlings told News Corp.

“When the request came through, no doubt it was disappointing. But having said that, we’ve got a player who obviously wants to be somewhere else.

“We want players at our football club who want to be here and want to play for the jumper and want to play for their mates.

“That’s not the case (with Horne-Francis), obviously, so we need to look at that and for our own playing group, make sure we can make a commitment to our group that we bring players in who want to be here.

“Griffin Logue and Darcy Tucker are two great examples, and now with picks two and three and our future first and Port Adelaide’s future first, we’ve got the opportunity to bring in some quality individuals who are top-end footballers and characters.”

The Giants are strongly linked with promising key forward Aaron Cadman, who hails from country Victoria, but Rawlings said North Melbourne had struggled to separate the top three players, behind Ashcroft, on its draft board.

He is keeping those players to himself but are likely to be between George Wardlaw, Harry Sheezel, Elijah Tsatas and Cadman.

“If we pick at one, we’re going to get only one of those players, but by getting two and three in, we know we’re getting two of our top three players in this draft,” Rawlings said.

“And who knows? We might get our top two players.

“That was critical to the deal to move on one; that we needed two and three and now we’ve got two picks in next year’s draft, which looks special ... it’s going to be really good.”

Rawlings retains strong belief in the club’s playing list and believes there are brighter days ahead.

“We’ve got some great young talent, 24 and under, and we have obviously just added to it with a couple of players from another club (Logue and Tucker),” he said.

“We’re potentially picking two of our best two or three players in this year’s draft and we’re still sniffing around Hunter as well.”
We should be worried as no one is better equipped to sniff around than Brady Rawlings.

In all seriousness if he wants to go North have the assets to make it happen but would want to be paying overs from our point of view.

Can't see North being that desperate. We might get an late 2nd/early 3rd equivalent upgrade at best which is the points difference between Pick 9 & 14/15 for Pick 3.

And Pick 14/15 is about where I'd value Clark - former Pick 8 who hasn't set the world on fire.

Yeah I know contracted North want him blah blah blah but that sort of gets cancelled out if he genuinely wants to get out (which I doubt).

So I'd expect Clark stays but the proposed trade scenario does its job - fills minutes (hours) on Trade Radio.

Is it Clark’s output from the last 2 years replaceable? Yes.

Realistically we’re only getting 5-6 more years out of Hunter and it’s highly unlikely that he’s jumping in to the top echelon of mid in the next 12-24 months.

We need access to absolutely elite talent.

Give me 12 years of Tsitas.

Lets see how desperate North get.

Their fans are about to burn down the North Coffee Cart after yesterdays trade. Will they reach the point where they just want to get in Clark to give themselves something positive no matter the price.

Gags held firm last year when North put a ridiculous price on Xerri. We were completely prepared to walk away from Crouch. If he keep that same mentality, we either keep Clark or get a very good return for him.

I would be tempering expectations.

Realistically the club could view Clark + 9 for 3 and change a good deal

For those that didn’t hear Rawlings on SEN the Roos are absolutely coming for Hunter Clark & we hold the whip.
Bend.

Honestly, I'd be happy with that as long as we got change.

One of Wardlaw, Tsatas or Sheezel would give us that x-factor we lack.
Wardlaw is a lock you would think at North.

Sheezel isn’t what we need.

Tsatas would be the pick 😍
