Grundy for pick 27
Bowes + 7 for a future 3rd

But hey... Zaine Cordy for free! Am I right folks?!?
I'm surprised we didn't look at Grundy harder (although his contract still has 4 years??). Would free up Marshall to be more forward

Gee I reckon they are cutting the list way too much.

They've lost:
Gunston
McEvoy
Shiels

And potentially
Jaeger
Mitchell

Could be in a lot of strife next year.

None of those players they've lost ( so far ) are under 30.
If they'd announced their retirements you wouldn't have blinked.

Future 3rd for pick 7 alone is worth it. FFS Would take Cale Morton on $800k for 2 years just to get that deal.
Ridiculous how this has even happened.

If the rumours are true about NAS wanting to go home and rejecting a contract with us. It pretty much rules out Port next year in terms of picks. Not sure what the crows have or even if he wants to go to them.

What I wouldn't want is a player that's 24 or over even if it's a Rozee based on our age and player demographic.

Top 5 pick or a player that's equivalent to that under 21.
Jesus
I would give them NWW and our 1st next year for Rozee

Well our massive balls are confirmed now given we rejected the Clark deal.

Pushovers? No way. We are ruthless operators with huge testicles. Let it be known.

Not
North are going to hang on to 2 & 3 not doing that will lead David King to explode. They didn't do the Mega Deal to then just undo the only real value they got out of it. If they offer anything it will be that Port Future 1st

However hypothetically WC gave up 2 for 8 and 12 so 3 for 9 and Clark is about market value forget the points calculators at this stage they know which player they are giving up and who would be available at 9.

Personally I am not totaly convinced which of Tsatis Sheezel McKenzie Phillipou will end up being the best player that is probably the ranking but who knows. Only real advantage is we get to choose which one we back in rather than take the one left over. Now if it was pick 2 and Wardlaw I would definitely pull the trigger. Will be the best player in the draft can be one of the best midfielders in the comp IMO as long as his Hamstrings don't go all Nathan Freeman on him.
Not sure north care about David king exploding, but I will watch regardless.

Norf have said the Clark deal is closed and wont happen

I'd happily take Schache.

Still uncontracted at the Dogs - maybe waiting to see if they got the Lobb deal done? Something we should definitely be keeping an eye on because we need more options up forward.
I Love Schache and his theme song

This place was completely against Grundy because it would push Marshall out of the first ruck spot and has moaned about overpaying average players for years.

Can't now complain that we haven't done those things.

Win a premiership people want to come to your club.

We need to do this to become truly competitive

It's a perfect example of how the "cyclical" nature of the AFL is a falsehood.

You have to get good in order to attract the good players, but it's that much harder to get good when the teams already at the top are able to reload with such ease.

It's exacerbated even more in a city with 10 teams because, salary cap aside, there's less incentive for players to sign for a smaller club.

We just need a dirty lucky fluke win first. Break the hoodoo, attract some stars at bargain prices, change the narrative.

Then dip to a realistic 6-4 for a couple years while we build the culture and weed out the losers.

Come back and have a proper dynasty. But it all starts with a tainted lucky win with the other team getting like 4 hamstrings and concussions in the first half and freakish accuracy from king
