Apologies in advance if you have already mentioned it in this thread but what are your thoughts on McAuliffe? Is he top 10 quality?

The more I watch Sturt's Declan Gladigau streaming down his wing with his speed and penetrating accurate kicking the more I think he might be a real draft chance, highly impressive today in a beaten Sturt team. Haven't hardly heard him mentioned anywhere else but the lad certainly has AFL traits.

Having a nice year - averaging 20 disposals a game - high kick to handball ratio - which supports a running wingman role - kicks goals and tackles

I can't believe that mock draft had Philactides at 18. I reckon he goes top 10. Top 15 at absolute worst. I'd probably have him as second on my list for us*. Behind Moir. If Moir was gone at our first pick Philactides would be my call*.

*Depending on flight riskiness, since he's vic metro I'm pretty sure, but I have no idea on flight risk with him.

I’m not sure he’s top 10 atm but he’s definitely capable. Today was huge. I love how he takes the game on and takes the piss with his bouncing. I’m a huge fan. Always have been.

Do you know if he’s any relation to Peter? Peter Gladigau played for Woodville and he was a really solid CHB.

He’s top 10 for mine, moves well and is strongly built

Wasn’t over-awed when he played for the Blues VFL side the other week, either

The ‘Caddy’ name immediately makes me think he’ll go home after two years, though

One guy that’s piqued my interest - Harry DeMattia. Strongly built, 184cm mid/fwd. Had a goal, 25 touches and 9 tackles on the weekend

Apparently a good cricketer, too

Him or Darcy Wilson, if either reach our pick, could be the next A grade player for us that we need

I was at the game. Caddy was awesome up fwd. When he was in the mid he only attended 3 or 4 centre bounces but then ran fwd. The Oakleigh kid he lined up on at the bounces is a bottom ager and about half the size of him. So don’t read too much into the click bait on his mid minutes.

Anyone know how is Ashton Moir is tracking coming into the Nationals? Is it just me or does it feel like he's cooling a bit as a prospect.

Is he in danger of becoming another one of those hot U16 SA targets who don't fire too many shots in their draft year, and end up sliding down the order?

Still has shown occasional flashes of talent but he has a big few weeks ahead of him, as do many

That seems like the vibe I was getting.

Flashes are all well and good. But you probably don't use a top 5 draft pick on a guy that flashes from time to time against the SANFL U18's and Reserves grade.

Seems like a big stage kinda personality in the interview I heard. Let's hope he saves his best for the Nationals.

The early mocks that i saw had him consistently up the top of the draft range. I've stopped looking until post Nationals, but would assume he hadn't slid too far just yet.
