Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

As far as I know it's easy to determine if someone is fully grown by getting an X-Ray of the growth plate in the wrist & hands. I have no medical knowledge had one of these before to determine if I was fully grown before an operation.

Providing this is allowed and not some form of draft tampering I can't see why this wouldn't have been done and known to clubs.

I think there's something similar in the pelvis as well. My son had some X-rays done a few years ago, and the specialist said that he had three growth spurts left in him (he'd have been about 16 at the time). Just turned 18, and two of them have come to pass...

Similar to working out the age of a child as well. One only needs to cut an arm or leg and count the rings.

Quick over a few steps / the first 10m, but not over longer stretches.
In short, the definition of agility.

I don't think anybody who has watched him could say he is anywhere near average for speed. Anyway no point arguing about it as he didn't do the combine testing, so let's presume his ability to evade every single tackler is due to body odour.

I feel like Tew will slide out of the top 40, I’m basing this on anything just a gut feel. Like back when people were talking about CJ being a second rounder.
To be blunt, Tew has played maybe three good games at the back end of the season. For them to be saying he could be a late second rounder shows just how shallow this draft is.
Whoever we take after McCabe, whether Tew or Calsher or anyone else, will be a complete hit & hope. With lots more emphasis on the hope part.

We're very lucky in the sense that we have a F/S giving us two first rounders this year because once we get into the twenties it's pretty much over.
Yes some players will make it but for everyone that does nine will be delisted in two years time. There's just very little in the draft this year and all clubs know it.

What about mature age talent mate? Outside of Phillips, are we in the mood for another Puopolo or Stratton type (if they're there), or are we not at that stage of our list build? Mannagh seems to getting talked up a bit.

I don't think so. We got who we wanted in Phillips - we'd been monitoring him since early this year. We might keep a spot open for the MSD but the general thought is we've got the backbone of the team we want so we'd only be looking at bringing the cream in.

What are the chances we take Phillips?

We've earmarked him from a while back. They'll give him a final look during the pre-season but barring problems we'll probably be taking him. By problems I mean seeing how he works within Sam's gameplan.
I know the SSP opens in Dec this year but don't expect anything till late Jan or Feb- like i said they're going to take a long look at him.
