Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

Yep. We seem to be in a good position to nab one of Caddy, Watson, McKercher. All three are list needs. A 2nd KPF, a creative small forward and outside speed + class.

Can't really go wrong.

Same. Reminds me of Dal Santo at his peak. He sees the Matrix.

Another player in that mould is Oscar Ryan, playing as a defender for Bushies and VIC Country. The kid has time, has clean hands and excellent skills. Can play midfield and forward too.

This draft has gone from looking very good mid last year to pretty uninspiring outside the first 12-15.
I don't know about that, there's certainly a drop after ~15 but I'd say that top echelon is on par with the best 9 last year. I'd be pretty happy with a few second round picks if it wasn't for McCabe being up there, I'd rate the 15-40 range pretty similarly to last years 10-25. The top guys are always going to get that attention, but there's plenty of depth that would fit into the last few years late first round.

Happens every year, at least from a hype sense. I’d say it’s pretty random and only evident in 3+ years whether a draft is actually deep or not.

Pretty good variety for the top 3-5.
Reid, Watson, Curtin could be the most diverse top 3 picks in the last 10 drafts???
Walsh, Lukosius, Rankine in 2018
Weitering, Schache, Mills in 2015

Barring some BS Ben McKay compo, at least one of Curtin or Watson will be there at our pick. And regardless at least one of them or Caddy. Very nice grab from Caddy just now. 2 goals so far.
