I assume we will have to go to Ticketek during the week to pick up tickets, like we did in 2018?
I’m not sure about that as it offered the print at home option which it didn’t in 2018.

Q18 - smack bang in the middle.
Smack bang in the middle of the mod squad - Maggie5 in 17 and me in 19. Behave yourself AD, :eyes: on you from both sides.😁

I would suggest call your bank today to get clarity on the spending cap as it doesn’t sound like the usual withdrawal limits etc.

You’ll likely need to change/remove spending cap.

Changed it to $1000

Changed it to $1000
Likely that your credit card limit is reduced by any transaction that hasn’t been repaid even if the bill isn’t due. Check with your bank that you have enough $ after any other spending and call ticketek tomorrow morning.

Would be interesting to know if these P1 members registered during their ticket window. Unfortunately if they registered in a later window the ticket guarantee is lost.
I've been a member here for quite some time but never felt game enough to post (but I read the threads every day).

Many of the P1 members who missed out did register in plenty of time ... it's just an awful, awful situation. My P1 family got Cat 7 tickets, so at least we are going to be there. In light of what has happened, this is a huge relief.

We had problems with the qualifying and prelim finals' tickets because the P1 Ticketek portal had a glitch and many members from other levels were able to go through the same link (I'm not suggesting anyone was doing anything wrong ... it can be so confusing and the club was telling us we should be doing one thing while the ticketek system was doing something else)

I wonder what will happen now?

Not that it is relevant to the current situation, some of my family members have 50 year memberships. God, I'm not sure how my sister and I would have broken the news to our elderly mum if we had missed out. She's started going to the footy every week in 1953 with her parents and grandparents.

Absolutely.

But you'll have to start at the silver level and the estimated wait time to get to gold is 7 - 17 years.
No way known it’s the lower bound of 7 years. I signed up in 2016 and am still 12,000 odd down the waitlist.

I’d say even the upper bound is generous given low rates of attrition.

You should be behind the cheersquad, nothing wrong with that. The atmosphere will be awesome!

Is there anywhere to meet pre/post game? I'll be alone so I've got no one down in Melbourne to meet up with but I can't waste the opportunity. Is there any classic Collingwood places/events that I can check out?

The AIA centre will have a screen showing the game so be a good place to be around before the game. Also its GF day and Melb, there will be Pies supporters everywhere!

Got my wardrobe sorted - forecast of 26oC means T-shirt weather, bought this little bad boy a few months ago in anticipation of perhaps wearing it in the better weather of September.

I rarely if ever wear team colours to games, might have to change.

Then again maybe not as we having been going okay. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Yeah youd need a tonne of luck with 7 but the AFL Membership site where you sign up says 7 - 17, so that's the figures I used.

Check out the Carlton Draught tent outside gate 3. Tickets are 12$, plenty of bars and food trucks inside. Will be a great atmosphere pre game, great drinking weather too mind you. 😉

Fair enough. Incredibly deceptive on their part if that’s how they market it - maybe seven years if you happen to own a Time Machine and can go back to the early 2000s to make the purchase…

Looks like somethings mucked up then. Glad you were able to get tickets, hopefully they’re directly behind the cheer squad.

Yeah, the different booking options never work when the release time is the same. Richmond fans were choosing the Collingwood area in 2018, and Aussies were choosing the England area for the Matilda’s game.
