In fairness I’d say it probably has to do with playing them twice.

We play 5 home games up until Round 16, 4 of them are on Sunday (including Easter Sunday v GWS) with the other being Dreamtime.

We only play one home game in both May and June, with the June game being a Sunday Twilight game v North.

This is a horrific fixture for us as fans.

Terrible fixture. Wasn’t the main point of this Gather Round to get an extra double up, instead it’s our only game against Melbourne. How many years has it been since doubled up with Carlton? The only positives I see are an easier start and a decent number of games at the MCG.
