Well that's simple. It's easier to move coaching positions in Vic due to the number of teams. There's a minimal amount of upheaval to family etc.

Exactly, to move interstate as an assistant coach for a 2/3 year contract isn’t always that attractive.

reckons JUH could be the highest paid player in the AFL next season. Somehow doubt it, but if he does I'd be interested to speculate on how they're fitting players under the cap. Just signed Naughton to $1m a year, then English and Bontempelli would be on a sizeable amount... Daniel, Libba, Macrae, B.Smith, Richards, Treloar wouldn't exactly be cheap. How much are they paying Lobb again?

Agreed, not interested in the slightest.

Losing McDonald and gaining Ugle-Hagan will be the greatest list management failure since they couldn't get the Lewis Young deal across the line.

As much as I don’t like West Coast, seeing Reid become a Cousins-like cult figure (without the drugs) who plays 250+ games for them would just absolutely soothe the soul knowing how much it would hurt the roos.

That doesn't include for Swans players who moved clubs before coaching (like Stafford and Malceski)

And doesn't include coaches who coached at the Swans then moved to another club (like Laidler or Shaw)

I dont rate JUH. I know he has talent. But I just don't see him as someone who can lead a forward line / team. Just seems like a flaky player in terms of the mental aspect. Would be a great 2nd forward. But paying him a superstar salary and expecting that level of output from him would be a poor move (by whichever team does it).
