agree entirely but i do think you run into these scenarios where its more open amongst the group and creates a bit of a culture of drug use ala WCE or the Pies

And if you'd been caught there you probably get kicked out of the UK. You can do what ever you like in your own time but if you choose to do something illegal and get caught there are consequences. Part of the deal of being a public figure is a more restrictive environment. You want to make sure that you don't get caught.

A pro sportsperson making the decision to snort ketamine that he bought off a stranger in a public toilet is pretty much a poor life decision that has ramifications that he's just learnt the consequences of. He's taken a risk and got caught. Millenials freak out at taking any responsibility for their own actions.

Do that in Bali and he's probably getting 5 years jail. Walk through Melbourne Airport with it and he's probably looking at potential jail time here.

Never touched the stuff, although on a tube ride back to my flat the Tube paper had the headline of eels OD'ing in the river thames on cocaine.

Although I doubt anyone would be getting arrested over those. Probably bad for your health if you are immoderate with any of them though.

I honestly don't care what he does but feigning shock when someone is publicly shamed for doing an illegal past time is a bit silly. I had a good time when I was younger but I wouldn't have been confused if I'd been arrested or sacked. I'd have made a choice knowing the consequences.

What do you mean? You said if he was working in government he'd get away with it but there's instances of politicians doing similar if not worse dodgy shit than snorting a line and they've been thrown out of their jobs for it.

I said he'd be given the boot for taking coke if he was a polly. Those guys got away with banging a rent boy in a prayer room, not sure it's quite the same and conservative politicians sticking things in their arses is kind of expected.
