With the Grand Final over now it’s time for that weekly thread
Liked: a close game that went down the wire to the very end, could have gone either way
Learnt: Conditions didn’t seem to have any noticeable impact on Collingwood
Hated: That the season is now done and dusted

Liked: Kiss and the little kids kiss army, A Close game was fun too

liked: good footy is good footy regardless of who won. bobby hill was by far the most important player on the ground and rightfully deserved the win. i’m not a nick daicos fan but it’s fairly clear to me that he’s got a very mature head on his shoulders, exceeding that of his peers.
learnt: kiss still has it, they’re clearly past it but man they had a great start to the day, really set the tone
hated: all the ******* gambling advertising, truly a parasite on my favourite sport.
ironically this person had been making nathan brown’s recommended bets & lost money on them, what a shocker!

Liked: KIss were outstanding, it was a beautiful day and the game was close.
Learnt: Fagan's team isn't quite there yet, won all their games at the Gabba, but once again failed at the MCG and if you can't win there you go home empty-handed.
Hated: The game started with a bad bounce and finished with a pretty poor decision by the Umpire. Pies deserved to win it just the same, but our game still has plenty of officiating issues. The new CEO has his work cut out.

Learned: We could still win even with an average forward line.
Hated: The amount of "Brisbane" supporters there just stirring Collingwood fans. Your ticket could have gone to an actual supporter.

Learnt: 17k for both sets of members? Looked liked a sea of black & white in the crowd… how does that happen?
Hated: half time show could’ve been a pub band on a Thursday night… wouldn’t even get a gig on a weekend night!

Learnt: Maybe enjoying the game and all its bit and pieces a little more is the way to go. Collingwood players seemed a heck of a lot more relaxed than Brisbane, especially running onto the ground. Perhaps a more relaxed attitude made a difference.
Hated: Ch7's coverage and worse, the AFL clearly not giving a crap. KISS miming. Was far too obvious (watch the drummer and listen to the audio. Amazing how tom toms sound like cymbals.....). Pre-match and half-time entertainment MUST be live performances. AFL needs to book performers, and have them play upbeat material. That half-time stuff was rubbish.

Learned - a significant number of sad people will never acknowledge that any Collingwood win is illegitimate and argue that every star player is overrated. If all else fails they look for a player who forgot to shake hands with a kid. It's pathetic.
Hated: That Noble, McStay and Adams couldn't be in it. Next year is for them.

Liked: that a very ordinary list can win a flag, this should give every other ordinary list hope, and this why I believe everyone likes this ordinary Collingwood list and what they've been able to achieve with said ordinary list. Ordinary list.
Learnt: that great gains can be made if you treat your players (Treloar & Grundy) like cattle. I hope someone has asked Grundy (who could've been at Adelaide if he didn't sign a lucrative contract to stay at Collingwood) "r u ok" today.
Hated: that the GWS was not the AFL's preferred winner. And how stupid Melbourne helped Collingwood to win this flag. How dumb is the Melbourne FC lol!

Liked: close game, momentum swings and both coaches fly and fagan got a lot of respect for both of them.
Learnt: Daicos as good as he is, has taken over the Selwood mantle, can’t look at him or touch him. Really well looked after.
Hated: Brissy having too many passengers..
i’am looking at you Hipwod and others. Absolutely had their chances, possibly lost the game at selection.

The post-siren goals from De Goey and Crisp and the Daicos - De Goey goal to immediately take the lead back with 5 mins to go, Sidey's roost

Not hated, but can understand the frustration of Lions / other supporters at that 'advantage' call. Who knows how it would have panned out, but no advantage in it, could have been called back.

Liked: Awesome goals in the first quarter, Bobby Hill's game, watching Pendlebury in finals mode, Charlie Cameron lit up in the third quatrer, some big contests, liked Daniher's game. So many things. Great game of footy for a neutral.
Learnt: you can win premiership now with fewer elite players than ever, and I'm not bothered by it.
Hated: so many players looking for high contact. Daicos was doing it every tackle

Also Learned: The AFL will even meddle with rules between a Prelim and the Grand Final they are such pathetic flogs who cant help themselves
Hated: The last 2 minutes spoiled by umpiring which tarnishes the win

Liked: the entire match itself - margin never exceeded 13 points and just when you thought 1 team was gonna pull away, the other came right back. Collingwood probably overall better and deserved but had brisbane won they would have equally deserved it (and tbh had they won we'd all probably be saying they were better)
