Why be this way? I had an opinion and you decided to go full keyboard warrior.

He said ""Tasmanians love their footy, if they get a team they'll support it, I think it will be a great thing for the Tassie community, I know my family and friends would absolutely love it".

He's a proud Tasmanian. You keen see that.
If you have friends and family influencing you, and you yourself are a proud Tasmanian with the opportunity to now live your dream of playing for your state (effectively), it would take a big love for the Adelaide football club to stay.

What he said, and that look in his face is what I saw in Danger when he talked about Moggs creek.

If you don't want to see it, that's on you.

happy dont GIF

Beau McCreery should be on our radar. Drafted from South Adelaide he's rock solid with game smarts and always stands up when needed.
His contribution to the Pies rise shouldn't be underrated.
22 yrs old was originally pick 44 and is contracted until the end of 2024.
Get him in and delist Ned.

If the Tassie team comes in just as we start to look good and Rachele, Thilthorpe etc peak, he would be made to leave to join a development team.
Ok I think we are all bored with this so no further responses after this. He can neither “be made” to join a Tassie club nor has he indicated in any media - certainly in the Crows Show interview quoted today - that gives any indication he will look to join.

anyway everyone is bored shitless with this so let’s move on

Ned's not going anywhere he's contracted to 2024.

FYI Beau McCreery grew up barracking for Port which some seem on here seem to think carries a lot of weight..... I remember him saying way back in his draft year....and he's contracted to 2024 as well.

Genuine question, has Chad Wingard got anything left to offer a good side? Or more specifically a good forward line?

Turns 30 in a couple months and his stats are trending downward in a bad Hawthorn side. But at his best he was a 50+ goal small forward.

Don't get me wrong I've never liked him as a bloke. But if we could end the midfield experiment and just play him as a dangerous forward next to Rankine, and allowed Rachele and Pedlar more midfield time. Could he be a low cost/ high upside transaction for a couple years?

Unlike a lot on here, I rate the Chad. The issue is more on his willingness to provide forward pressure which is what I doubt but if he was wanting to go finals one or two more times and bought in and was cheap he'd be alright in our forward line. It would mean us moving out a player though, like a Macadam or Mcmainiac though because they'd stay in the magoos

We have ample coverage in his position now though.he is 31 next year and best footy was literally a decade ago. Unless he came ultra cheap (unlikely) his sulky individual ways probably don’t get through Nicks (Swannies old) “no ****head policy”

Im getting Bryce Gibbs vibes. A spent force that we‘d overpay for.

Erin had already won 3 flags and we were very far away from being in our prime when danger left. We’d only just sacked our coach the year prior.

And you can't forget about the draft sanctions either.

Players aren't made to leave for development teams... they choose to, usually for plenty more money.

If we can get Redmond, retain Doedee and with Murray playing like a champ we would have a great defense. Imho Murray is improving in a massive way and will be the equal of Redmond.

Considering the first six games overall, I’d give it to him. Wait until a bit after the mid-season bye to start talks, though

No reason to not wait until the season has concluded. Neither are going anywhere and you never know who might become available. If either leaving was a risk, you might need to bring contract discussions forward. But reality is that neither will be contributing to our next flag tilt.

Old mate will accept nothing less than a signed contract as proof.

Apparently an ordinary team mate , port were glad to see back of him

Don’t think we want someone like that but we should be looking at others to make us better for sure

I really hope we are putting an offer to Redman that really turns his head. He was pretty good today. Would like that sort of player marshalling our half back line

Michalanney Butts Doedee
Redman Murray Hinge

Not worried about the oppo best small. Michalanney is showing a very high level of footy smarts to beat them

Worrell 7th defender.

Prefer McAdam.

I'm not happy with Tassy coming in unless it's to replace a Melbourne side or GCS. Another compromised draft kills the comp and waters down the player quality base. A compo pick will not have much value.

Would you accept AFL compo of "like for like"? Jones was drafted with pick 9.

He specifically mentioned his family supporting it and to me it just sounded like someone who would be very keen to entertain joining them.

I wouldn't begrudge him either.
Look, if I'm honest I'd probably be supportive of any Tasmanian player going back.

Just hope we get proper compo ...
