It's got absolutely nothing to do with the ability of the player.

Trading for broken goods, of any quality, is just a terrible idea we've tried over and over again. It's a short term sugar hit that makes everyone feel all warm and fuzzy in preseason. At least until the first news stories come out.

I couldn't be less interested.

Also confirmed that we're targetting front half players with natural goal sense in the draft this year. Only taking three picks at the draft which we already knew.

Grab Collard and use a late pick on someone like Mannagh. MB thinks he is worthy of a spot as a small forward. Remember we took Lachie Schultz in the 50s. Collard may not make it, so need someone like Mannagh to help us through the next 5 years and possibly replace Sonny.

Oliver isn't being offered by Melbourne per se. It's more like they are saying "get your shizen together, you're a fantastic player, but your also part of a team and a club". This hint of a fracture has gotten a heap of clubs to come round sniffing. Obviously no lock at this stage, but most likely outcome is that he stays at Melbourne.

It was almost identical to what he said on SEN.

My between the lines read is that there is a specific player (probably a forward) that we like that is expected to go in the early-mid teens and that's why we're trying to get in that range.

Also sounded like our F2 is all but traded already, because its Freo in trade period and he said the word "futures".

Hamling definitely seems gone, it's partially the same situation with logue, can't fit them both into our backline


We are so good at drafting kpds that I won't worry too much, annoying time for kpds to be a shortage in the league's means it's hard to hold depth

Will mean we have Collins, Logue, Hamling running around across the league now, all handy depth but good enough to play on their own
