It's a bit weird when we already have an excess of forwards on the list


I wouldn't mind delisting kuek a year early, harsh on the bloke though but can't see him coming back and proving himself from an ACL fast enough to get another contract

We do but as a group theyre easily defendable. On those days where defenders are marking everything, we only have two forwards with the sort of goal scoring brilliance to break the deadlock - Walters and Amiss, one at the start of his career and one very much at the end. We still need some more high end talent down there.

Well assuming our ITKs know their stuff, 1 spot is Sharp and if Hammer opens another then we'll have an SSP or open list spot.

Wouldn’t be surprised if smith leaves the kennel this year. They found a stack of cash for naughton in a hurry.

CBA was announced and the deal took a couple weeks after that

That doesn't change the number of list spots, just how we can use them. Though even then, we're carrying 35 senior + 7 rookie list, and you can go as high as 38 + 4 to get your 42 list spots. So irrespective of players upgrading to the senior list, we'll still have 5 list spots and aren't limited in how to use them.

I have concerns regarding our depth. We lost a fair bit of depth last year , And appears a bit similar this year with Hambling and Wilson being good backline depth. And Henry I suppose you could say best 22.

We can carry extra picks in the draft to live trade them to clubs seeking to match academy bids and if Edwards does make it to pick 41 any selection we have, even pick 200, will be enough to match a bid for him.

We can fill the list spots in the rookie draft or SSP.

I would prefer we have all the picks in the top 30 but such is life.

Andy, Caleb, Young, Erasmus and Johnson is enough. Especially when Jackson will get minutes.

Only thing you'd want is one of the new forwards with speed or skills to be part of the rotation eventually.

LIke Taylor said, taking in some draft spots we wont use isnt the worst thing and likely part of the plan given we want to move up so badly.

We are absolutely smuggling in some picks for a draft night pick upgrade. I'm pretty convinced we get pick 10 from GC at this point. Sharp might be part of it. GC to delist him with the knowledge he's coming to us and us to trade some capital as part of a live trade with them. Helps them smuggle in as many picks as possible by both us and them having an extra list spot

I think it's young and good enough that the chances of upgrading it through picks 15 and beyond (particularly in this draft) are pretty small. On the other hand, I think we can quickly upgrade out forward line spending a couple top 30 picks on forwards
