remove (trade/delist/retire etc etc) any number of the following players as is feasible:

• ed curnow (definitely retire)
• marchy
• cunners
• martin (pay his contract out if necessary)
• honey
• fish
• LOB
• philp
• fogarty

i look at players like cincotta hollands cowan and reckon there is good replacement options in the draft and vfl to turnover the list above in a meaningful way without needing high draft capital.

fair point and it is unlikely i agree but we do have expectations of playing finals and more so our thinking may change or need to change.

Try and land the 2 best medium forwards (state leagues) mature body over development we need instant impact here.

So with Marchy and Cunners now back into skills training, should we offer Ed an early retirement package to free up a list spot prior to the mid season draft next month?

NO.

He is playing well enough as an individual and has plenty to offer. A mentor in the twos at very worst. If we had a different midfield balance he could still be a staple.

Any special talent available mid season will not be there when we get, at best, a mid range pick. At best we get a role player. If our small forwards remain thin on the ground, it would likely be a Cahill or Ronke. For mine, the only other consideration would be a mature ruck like Naismith if TDK is at a contract impasse.

I think you’ve really played all of it down.

The ‘threatening to send a naughty picture’ as you described it is an offence that can result in prison time.

There’s a former partner who was hospitalised but claimed it was ‘family violence’ and not Thomas.

There’s an allegation of throwing a lamp at another woman.

There’s the threats.

There’s a bunch of texts that went public.

There’s all the driving stuff, despite less significant than everything else, but hardly worth ignoring.

has been pushed into the sub role at Adelaide by the Rankine acquisition. A high-pressure small forward who can pinch hit in the middle. Contracted to 2024 but can't hurt to ask the question if he's not reliably securing a spot come end of year?

Remember the days of the 3 amigos??? Add a little 1AW, a dash of Armfield and a pinch of Judd.... ahhh speed and an entertaining game style, even when we didn't win we were fun to watch. Fell one kick short of a preliminary to the weagles in Perth... Running power, clean hands in close and precision kicking are KING! Contested marks over rated and can't be relied on week in week out to win games when you have great intercepting defenders these days, the chaos F50 groundball works much better than the bail out kick it high in hope kick to the talls.
