Lions follow up a good draft last season with a weird AF one this year.

Panned the Packers for overdrafting Van Ness. Have to pan the Jets for overdrafting McDonald. He's not a top 15 draft pick. Presumably the Jets were trying to move down in the draft after Jones was taken by the Steelers, but couldn't find a deal good enough for Douglas. I've heard elsewhere that Douglas is very high on McDonald, but the way Saleh rotates his defensive linemen during games, we're spending a premium pick on an old and small dude that will play maximum of 40% of snaps a game. Not sure it's the right move, especially when he was announced as a linebacker and he has never played as a linebacker at the college level.

I took Will McDonald at 20 in the mock and even I think I reached slightly. I think maybe the 25-40 range is more where he would have gone.

Nice first pick by the Raiders. Got plenty of offensive talent so needed to prioritise the defence in the draft. Mad Max will be happy to have some support on the edge and Chandler Jones will be a great mentor to learn from.

Hell yeah! JSN is a great get. I never thought he would be on the board at 20. I can't wait to see him on the field with DK and Lockett.

As the clock kept winding down I had a sinking feeling we were seriously considering Levis.
