Yesterday's news, I already debunked this with Fitterer's comments in his press conference about looking for a QB who throws with accuracy and can read defense's and change plays at the LOS.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Boston College WR Zay Flowers is meeting with the Giants and Saints.

Flowers is a safe bet to be taken in the first round of the draft. The Giants hold the No. 25 pick and the Saints sit at No. 29. Flowers could already be off the board by the time either team takes the podium, but both front offices are doing their due diligence on the wide receiver class. Flowers capped off a strong collegiate career with a 78-1,077-12 receiving line in 2022. He projects as an immediate starter, though his 5'9/182 frame may limit him to slot duties.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports Alabama QB Bryce Young met with the Raiders and Panthers.

The Panthers currently sit at the top of the draft. Most pundits expect them to take Ohio State's C.J. Stroud, but they did send their brass to Young's pro day at Alabama. The Raiders, on the other hand, will take the podium at pick No. 7. There's virtually no chance Young is on the board that late, so they would need to trade up if they want him. All signs point to Young landing in Houston with the second pick. As NFL-ready as a quarterback can be, Young will be the centerpiece of the Texans' rebuild.

So the Bears thought DJ Moore was worth a 2024 2nd round pick and a future 1st and 2nd.

Or they just knew the Raiders were dumb and tried to fleece them.

How did you come to the conclusion re: Moore?

The asking price for the Raiders was three 1st round picks and two 2nd round picks for the #1 overall pick. The trade with the Panthers got the Bears two 1st round picks and two 2nd round picks plus DJ Moore. Logically speaking one could reasonably infer that they value Moore close to that of a 1st round pick then which satisfies the asking price they had suggested to Vegas.

You're right here but:
Panthers traded the Niners second this year not their own
Panthers are two picks behind the Raiders
Panthers future draft assets worth less than the Raiders given the division.

I would have thought the price would have been cheaper for the Raiders than it was.
