Kemp needs to play forward. Such a nice mark. Still a bit dubious on his defensive positioning. When Silvagni is fit or if Marchy makes it back.. Kemp has to play third-tall forward.

Thought Young actually looked better forward of the ball too.

Kennedy played with heart. Loved his efforts.

"Dubious defensive positioning" he took 10 marks, 7 intercepts and 3 contested.

Doesn't happen without good positioning. Kid will be a star, needs a good run of games at AFL level.

My Best tonight
Jacob Weitering
Harry McKay
Brodie Kemp
Adam Cerra
Patrick Cripps
Alex Cincotta

Hey guys - pardon the intrusion.

Just wanted to drop in and say I was really pleased for Dow tonight. I (like many) have been confused about the non selection so far. He showed more than enough tonight to suggest he's no worse an option than some automatic selections.

I hope he gets a consistent run now and gets some games pumped into him.

Would love him at the Cats next year.

He'll definitely be somewhere else next year. Unfortunately.

Why wait until the second half to play attacking football Voss?

Had we played the style we did in the second half we would've had a shot tonight.

Instead... Well done Melbourne.

I hope Harmes gets weeks.

Yea but it’s desperate attacking footy…there’s no method…it’s not even run and gun……it’s just ballistic don’t think do…dump etc

Agree but would love to see what he can do as a mid/forward. Anyway he showed great signs and nice to see Harry and Weitering find some form.

Walsh is a worry he has become very ineffective how he uses it. I am sure he can turn it around he’s too good not to.

It's groundhog day again... again.

Forward 50 entries. We don't switch it looking for a player in space, and we don't run to receive handballs to kick deep or past the zone.
We ran past for the handball receive all night! We just didn't use them as the Dees were set up and ready for us all night, a real credit to them.

I don't know why some people are complaining, our opponents were only just better at F50 delivery but their setup and execution around the ground was very good all game.

Ours looked like we kind of know what to do but never practise. Like me playing guitar!

I don’t really want to sack Voss, considering we’ve been sacking coaches left and right the last few years, but what if next year ends up the same as this year…

Is Voss turning out to be any better than Teague? He started with a bang and was great for half a season then petered out.

Voss has an infinitely better team at his disposal.

8 years we've been carefully building this list.

For what?

This was the performance of a poor football team, who had a good night.
We only had 16 players who played to afl standard tonight
Weitering, kemp, cincotta, saad, motlop, mcgovern, walsh, curnow, mckay, docherty, cerra, fisher, boyd, kennedy, De konig (maybe), cripps(maybe).
-midfield has no run.
Don't agree with your head count Mike. Successive weak efforts and missed tackles do not equate to AFL standard games. Dont talk to me about pea heart McGovern.
TDK Definately, AFL standard. Manful effort one out against two first class rucks.
Crippa was better than ok. Curnow was invisible.
Who was that running around in Walshy's jumper?
