Anyone know if the Lions are referenced in this article?
CARLTON
Jack Martin requested Carlton to delist him this week to keep his options wide open amid strong interest from Fremantle and inquiries from both Queensland-based clubs.
Martin started as a brilliant mid-forward on the Gold Coast and while he expressed some desire to return to Queensland it will be harder for the Suns or Brisbane to find a spot for him.

I'd rather have Gallop. If Himmelberg hasn't shown starting quality for a worse team by age 26, we don't need him.Young Himmelberg might be available from the Crows. Is he of any interest to us as depth?

Joe show to be extended bro!
How do we see Zakostelsky after a year in the system?
I have been raving on about Ty Gallop since I saw some highlights a month or so ago, love his aggression and appetite for a contest.I tell you one thing; loved the look of Ty Gallop in the VFL on the weekend.
Can't help but think Gallop rose up the draft order of a few club's, but I do hope we can find a way to draft him, along with Levi and Marshall obviously.
I thought his last month or 2 was promising. Got to the level of a solid VFL player IMO
No rush though but hopefully next season the coaches start to feel more comfortable considering him as an option for the seniors
Gonna be a hard backline to crack in to with Diz and Doedee returning. Realistically don’t need to rush him, very much a developmental period for him
I really wish we could get linked to Cumings instead of Martin and Matt Taberner
I am sure he would be a handy VFL forward to accompany Ryan and Lloyd but do we really need to trade for himI’d take Taberner as a replacement to Ryan but he’s basically Schache2.0.
I am sure he would be a handy VFL forward to acompiny Ryan and Lloyd but do we really need to trade for him
Slow start as others have said, solid vfl games by the end of the year, looks to be scope for further improvement. How do we see Zakostelsky after a year in the system?
Lloyd struggled this year sure the step up got to him a little this year but he showed glimpses of being a decent forward option I saw improvements in he's work rate late in the seasonSlow start as others have said, solid vfl games by the end of the year, looks to be scope for further improvement.
Torrent on a similar trajectory. Glimpses early in the year, solid by the end of the year. Very interested to see how he goes after another preseason.
Lloyd um, not sure.
Lions spearhead set to cash in on miracle in Sydney - Jay ClarkAwesome news and so well deserved - do you have access to the article you could post?
Brisbane Lions’ spearhead Joe Daniher looks set to cash in on his continued excellent form with a contract extension beyond next season.
The hero of Saturday night’s semi-final win who slotted two clutch set shot goals to sink GWS Giants remains one of the best key forwards in the game.
It included a 40m set shot from the boundary to put the Lions in front with three minutes remaining from a spot which has delivered 28 per cent success rate for left footers since 2013.
According to Champion Data, there have been 29 goals from 104 shots from left footers in that position over the past 12 years including 34 behinds and 41 complete misses.
Daniher, 30, is contracted to Brisbane until the end of 2025, but the spearhead is on track to ink an early extension in reward for his brilliant goal kicking after finishing fourth in the Coleman Medal race (56 goals) this year.
Despite some major groin problems in his last two years at Essendon, Daniher has proven to be ultra-reliable at Brisbane and is playing the best football of his career up north in recent years.
The club has faith he will continue to help lead the forward line as well as helping groom young key forward Logan Morris in the early part of his AFL career.
Daniher has booted 202 goals from 95 games at Brisbane since crossing from Essendon in 2021 which netted the Bombers pick nine (Archie Perkins) as free agency compensation.
Brisbane initially signed him to a three-year deal but extended his contract until the end of 2025 after only one season in Brisbane colours.
While that manoeuvre attracted criticism, the league found the club did not break free agency rules and cleared the club of any wrongdoing despite rivals raising their eyebrows.
Daniher has delivered on the deal and shone on the big stage bagging 16 goals across his past five finals including four majors against the Giants on Saturday night.
Daniher was one of Brisbane’s best players in last year’s Grand Final loss and will be a key plank in the Lions’ plot to upset Geelong at the MCG on Saturday.
Daniher has gone goalless in two of his last three games against Geelong including the Round 6 loss to Geelong when he was forced into the ruck.
I still don't know if Prior sticks around. We need to cut five players, assuming we only bring in Levi and Marshall this summer. We need to cut six if we want anyone else in.NB made an interesting suggestion in the VFL thread. ‘Move Prior on to the ball”. Never considered it myself before, but with Lyon leaving and some uncertainty around Dev, we will be a bit small and light around the ball next year in the VFL. I like Prior but iMHO he is too short for a kpd and not agile enough to be a small defender in the AFL. Maybe playing him on the ball in the VFL next year might open up a career opportunity at AFL.
Prior and Tunstill are 50/50 for me. They both aren't getting much senior game-time which they could be getting elsewhere. It's highly likely Dev Rob requests a trade too.I still don't know if Prior sticks around.
