Collard is doing what he did before. When he’s on he bags four goals…when he’s not he disappears completely

Sounded like a categoric no to meMaybe I’m sniffing the good stuff but he didn’t sound fully committed to the not gettable thing (compared to others anyway)
Like every single small forward that plays in the AFL? This guy has so much talent, if he is available we must take him.Collard is doing what he did before. When he’s on he bags four goals…when he’s not he disappears completely
Don't think Lach was talking shit about him just explaining why people shouldn't read into his form as a sign he's leavingLike every single small forward that plays in the AFL? This guy has so much talent, if he is available we must take him.

Probably didn't articulate that very well. Meant to imply for a couple of other clubs to be involved in a player/pick swap. What’s a player Richmond are dumb enough to take though? Both clubs in the same spot basically so anyone Richmond want, so do WC. I think to be classified as wanting a player, you have to be prepared to pay the price or you aren’t that interested. That might semantics though I suppose
That would have some nice synergy, but I reckon our starting point should be the exact same deal they offered us for Henry, our F2 plus a swap of F4s.I wasn't all that confident when I said we trade the Saints their own pick back for Collard at the end of 2024 when the homesickness sets in - effectively making the Henry trade for the pick #21 we wanted for the player the board wanted with it.
But it would tie a nice bow on that.
Increase imoIf Swans win the flag this year, does that increase or decrease our chance at getting Chad in contract?
Who was the last player that Young traded into WA, Lobb from GWS?But just so you all know, Collard is a Colin Young client.
Baker is another JOM for me. Provides leadership, strength and class but:
1. he's not a goal kicker - our primary need; and
2. who does he replace? Our back 7 are sorted. JOM?
And if I was Baker, why would I go to Freo. Not guaranteed first 22, at least after 1st year and low down the list for $. Whereas at WC, guaranteed starter for the rest of his career and can demand decent money, and already has his premierships. Seems a perfect match.
Our primary need are Ballas/Walters types and a superstar mid if we can crowbar them out of another club. That's what get us to contend strongly the next few years. Use the picks anyway needed to achieve that. Anything else is an unnecessary distraction.
So how much you paying to get a 12th best player in your team?Incredible under rating of Baker or extreme over rating of our side.
Baker is best 22 in every AFL team.
Where exactly he fits is a different story but if you went old school, school yard picks I’d only have the following ahead of him:
Front 6: Amiss, Treacy
Back 6: Pearce, Ryan, Cox, Clark
Middle: Darcy, Jackson, Serong, Brayshaw, Young
Move the magnets around but he goes ahead of everyone else not on that list. Yes, that includes Aish, Fyfe, Walters etc.
Off top of my head. Bound to have missed someone, but you get my point.
He’s an upgrade on 75% of our squad.

I'd rather Chappy and Freddy (for pace if nothing else) personally but still agree with the sentimentIncredible under rating of Baker or extreme over rating of our side.

Give it a full season of him being fully fit and Chapman will join that list IMO. ATM though it is spot on.Incredible under rating of Baker or extreme over rating of our side.

It's not so much whether he'll be selected, but the cost for what essentially will be a mid tier player for us.I'd rather Chappy and Freddy (for pace if nothing else) personally but still agree with the sentiment
Yeah, I just see him as such an upgrade on the roll of Switta or specifically Emmett that I'm happy for a late first. The capspace I'll assume they know what they are doing given how cheap they have been on other players. I'm so tired of watching Walters unable to contest or Emmett unable to do cleanly dispose of the ball that I honestly think Baker would result in at least an extra goal a game just by not ****ing things upIt's not so much whether he'll be selected, but the cost for what essentially will be a mid tier player for us.
Exactly the two I thought of, Chapman more based on potential right now though.I'd rather Chappy and Freddy (for pace if nothing else) personally but still agree with the sentiment

Freddy is so underrated now I reckon. Seriously rate him.
Like you said though, I also agree with the sentiment. Baker would be a great addition. Perfect age, perfect experiance, and even though I generally prefer specialists, our list could do with a versatile swing player depending on where hes needed.

Surely Baker comes straight in for Emmet ?Incredible under rating of Baker or extreme over rating of our side.
