Really good response, I think the first quarter was just down to a lack of effort which was corrected.

Pleasing to see Hustwaite, MacDonald and Mackenzie get busy.

It looks like defending/spoiling against tall KPF's will be an issue unfortunately.

Chol injured. Held his knee at first, could be forearm or wrist?

Our defending of the high ball was poor but it's always been a strength of the Dogs. Naughton, Lobb (who always kills us) and Darcy are all 200+. It's probably going to be a problem against teams that can exploit it this year.

Conversely our talls have looked a bit off. Lewis is getting beaten when he normally doesn't and Chol looked really nervous prior to injury. Gunston also quiet bar a good mark and goal. Would like to see Ramsden get a crack.

Lewis looks off it today
Yep, seems out of sorts, playing within himself. Playing to not get injured.
That’s the big worry with him - he may be concerned that if he plays with the pack-splitting abandon that we’ve seen strong glimpses of in his career so far, he’ll get injured again. But if he holds back, he won’t get involved and he’ll fall short of being the dominant forward we know he can be….

I wouldn't be too worried that the injury prone KPF isn't going hard in a preseason praccy.
