2.7 more score involvements per game so far for Hogan.
Mobile enough to play as a 3rd tall, especially with Stringer in the side

Umpires put their whistles away for All-Australian games.

Rozee should be nowhere near it at the moment, I don’t even think Port fans would have him in thereB: Tom Stewart - Alex Pearce - Nick Vlastuin
HB: Nick Blakey - Sam Taylor - Lachie Whitfield
C: Zach Merrett - Tom Green - Caleb Serong
HF: Gryan Miers - Harry McKay - Christian Petracca
F: Tom Papley - Jesse Hogan - Jake Stringer
R: Max Gawn - Isaac Heeney - Zak Butters
I/C: Connor Rozee - Marcus Bontempelli - Matt Rowell - Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera
Good side. I think Curnow and Luke Jackson should be in imo. Maybe for Papley/Stringer and Rozee respectfully.B: Tom Stewart - Alex Pearce - Nick Vlastuin

Rozee has been excellent in every game he has played.Rozee should be nowhere near it at the moment, I don’t even think Port fans would have him in there
Higgins, Papley, Miers and Baker have started well for small forwards.First crack based on performances so far:
B: Stewart Taylor Vlastuin
HB: Whitfield Andrews Scheezel
C: Butters Serong Merrett
HF: Heeney McKay Petracca
F: Curnow Hogan Hill
OB: Gawn Green Rowell
IC: Miller Jackson Cripps Crouch
Always a bit lopsided early.
Competition is tight for intercept defenders. Both McGoverns and Ryan unlucky. Same with Powell on a HBF.
On the flip side no small forwards or wingers look deserving so far. I have included Hill as a token pick given he's probably been the best small forward and gone with 2 balanced mids on the wings for now.
Key forwards easy. Those are clearly the best 3. No need to pick a 2nd ruck but Jackson has been so good I've put him on the bench.
In terms of mids I think Serong, Green, Rowell, Heeney, Butters have been a class above. Merrett, Miller and Petracca a level below that. Then a big group after that. I've gone with Crouch and Cripps as the last 2 spots on the bench for now.
I don't mind that.B: Tom Stewart - Alex Pearce - Nick Vlastuin

A lot of recency bias at play here.
Both Worpel and Powell make the side if we are purely off the 3* games of football.
Worpel has had an absolutely smashing start to the season. Would probably be the 2nd picked behind Serong. 3rd if we are counting Heeney as a mid, which is where he has currently been playing.
Based on advanced stats, the best mids so far have been (in order):
Heeney
Worpel
Bontempelli
Serong
Powell
Petracca
Rowell
Green
Freo the number 1 defence in the league by a bit after 3 rds
missing two starting 6 defenders as well.
Credit to
Pearce Ryan, should be in.
Clark a squad spot.
His first 6-8 weeks last year was some of the worst captains football that’s been.I have egg on my face re: Pearce.
Thought he was cooked last year and by quarter time in Round 1 I had already put the line through him.
Freo woke up and so did Pearce and now I'd happily have him starting FB in my rolling AA team.
Regarding Hill, I’m a fan but a few smalls have had better starts …, Brent Daniel’s for one beats him hands downFirst crack based on performances so far:

Oh boy...I think it's AFL Player Ratings.
Oh boy...
McGrath very underrated in these parts of bigfooty. Being noticed in the coaches votes 15th overall only behind Vlaustin in small/med defenders which says a hell of a lot.
