Ps poor bloody GWS. Raided every single year basically

This year alone - Cummin, Perryman, Peatling and Stone (first round draft pick 2020) looks like gone also

Good on them for incredibly consistent drafting and development to remain around the mark for so many years, they could easily be the premier this year after watching the first 3 qtrs vs Swans

Confident my “second team” Lions get up this weekend - possibly by more than 4 goals

Loving this assertive Wayne tonight and I gotta say some of your list quality comments in recent hours - comparing our list to Powers VERY shallow list and other related - is really top notch. Next level :)
Wayne’s a credit to this board… always quality… always insightful….an independent thinker, doesn’t follow the herd.

Bravo Wayne

You’ll think they’ll get 2 end of first round picks for cumming and Perryman .
Agreed but it’s still needing to constantly rebuild with new draftees. Extraordinary loss of talent over the last few years,

I saw an article mentioning Cummin would only get end of second round compo - 4th tier. Not remembering the formulas I couldn’t see how it could possibly be so low when I assume he is on 700k min (perhaps closer to 800k and we all don’t mind paying as agree we couldn’t afford to miss out on both Luko and Cummin)

If Port Power have to give up a decent draft pick (F1) for Luko I would much rather Cummin for free and ANB for a F2 (at most) over their trade period. We “win” this year and that’s now 4 first 18 players in 4 years isn’t it?

Hopefully saves a few mattresses this summer.

I guess the question has to be asked, why is he sub 7 times?
If it was Nicks ....it would be because he has NFI

However, given it's Adam Kingsley .....and they nearly made a Prelim .....it's "nothing to see here"

All Coaches have peculiarity calls during a season .....Lawson and Mannagh spend almost the entire season in the VFL & then become hero's late season

It's all meaningless in the big scheme of things .....GEEL also ...."nothing to see here"

I would have thought the answer is he’s on the edge of being best 22?

Man I agree. And his analysis earlier tonight in one thread was absolutely next level IMHO.
He’s taking the absolute piss, sorry to tell you.

More likely availability of roles, which in Peatling's case, only arose because of Cogs and Kelly's injuries

There is a difference between having a player sub 7 times, knowing what you are doing and making a prelim to having a player sub 7 times, not knowing what you are doing and finishing 15th. The clue is in the ladder position.

So realistically, if we somehow convinced Peatling to get to the crows. What would we need to throw at GWS? I bet they would play the hard game, he is clearly talented and I’m sure they have intentions and know what he can bring to a game. Just not getting opportunities at the moment.

Do you think F2 would be enough?

Nah ....only in your head

Absolutely no bearing on things .....you just don't want rational discussion

We have good trading relation with GWS, give them pick 25 so Melbourne is forced to accept F2 for ANB.

Would be good if we could say to them we’ll pay more for cumming to increase the compensation (free capital) and reduce the pick we need to pay for peatling.
You can generate a better pick using money which can help both parties.
