I think its also more palatable for the Bombres to trade back into the draft using a Dees F1 (could be more 8-14) as opposed to our F1 (top 4) to say GWS for 15/16 or Swans 19/22 or perhaps GC 20's picks after the Kako bid is matched.Melbourne also added a host of picks this year as well
Yes, that includes those three, but I was specifically mentioning the investment in the midfield.thats not the question I asked but cheers anyway
If it had 'blown others out of the water' then it would have been done already.Oh god. What have we offered GC?
Makes my sphincter clench when I hear the phrase, "North's offer has blown others out of the water"
How much are we overpaying?
You forgot the key words "dilute our hand too much". If this offer is true, it's too much."We want to bring in experience, but we don't want to dilute our draft hand in what is shaping as a super draft"
CCJ trade 2.0
I’d be happy if we just took our picks to the draftFor those who are disappointed by the lack of movement during trade week so far, the issue isn't trade week itself or its duration, it's your expectations.
I'd be delightedI’d be happy if we just took our picks to the draft
Are we talking about trade radio or bigfooty??It's what happens when you are given scope to talk as much as you want, but there's nothing to say. Guess work, supposition, extrapolation and straight out dribbling shit.
More kids to get used to losing!!I'd be delighted
More kids to get used to losing!!
As long as we get parkerI'd be delighted
It'll be never repeated as it's a completely ******ed way to build a team. And that’s the issue with our drafting up to date.
We should have been looking at KPP’s instead of bring in midfielders and flankers.
It's very clear there's a specific strategic direction inside the club that is very different from fan expectations this year
It's hard to believe that something this drastic wouldn't have everyone, from Brady to Clarko to Viney to the board, all on the same page.
Im not saying it's right or wrong but I also think ppl need to consider this bigger picture stuff before they come in here foaming at the mouth over Rawling alone
It’s ok.The same bigger picture “strategic” direction that saw Dylan Stephens get a 4 year deal.
I don’t know what’s worse at the moment. Having Rawlings at the wheel who has a track record of terrible mature age recruiting targets and overpaying.
Or Clarko/Viney clearly desperate knowing they have 12 months to seriously improve before the knives are out in the media.
It’s a nightmare combination, that some of us have seen coming for months.
We are 1 bad trade period from being St Kilda/Essendon and back to mid table, orchestrated by a group of men with some self interest at play here at the moment. 1 shocking trade period from completely torpedoing the 6-7 years of work the supporters have had to endure during this absolute cluster ****.
If we trade the best part of 2 years worth of R1 picks for what amounts to Dan ****ing Houston and Caleb Daniel, after we’ve picked up 2 HBF in the first round in the last 3 drafts, played two top 2 picks at half back on that same period.
The club and its board have officially jumped the shark on the supporters. Absolute weak as piss if this is their “strategic” long term game at this point of the build. Absolutely gutless.
