You’re looking at this all wrong.Because Port can just say no to any deal that doesn't work for them? And he's publicly said he's happy to stay, even if his preference is clearly to move to Victoria.
Its not like everyone can expect his trade value to drop next year either. He's contracted for another 3 years.
I guess I'm not inclined to discount the likelihood it could be Papley 2.0?
If you've got ITK knowledge, I fear for the club because you're a completely negative poster, so it's f***ed if you know an insider who is feeding this negativity.Cling to whatever hope you can I suppose. I’m saying it’s fact. If you don’t like my “mail” the ignore button is there for you to use!
The issue is we’re shit

My understanding is our F1 is the back up option.
That is the fail save move to get a deal done.
Unless Port is hell bent on this years draft, but you have a player who wants to come home for family reasons and at best you’ve got a guaranteed top 4 selection at the 2025 draft as an offer.
This much is true.
Yeh we’ll try and get a selection inside the top 10 this year, but this is why we have always been a distant 2nd option.
Houston knows a deal between North and Port is easier to get done and is his safe ticket home.
The issue is we’re shit
Like sinking into a warm bath, this statement

He said that's why we're lower in the Houston preference order.Umm, but you were previously saying that staying at Port is not an option for Houston. If all parties know we can get a deal done but he's reluctant because we're shit, doesn't that mean he'll stay at Port? Which you said wasn't happening?
@ everyone…

It’s why jay Clark is writing stories about us asking about Maynard. We are a joke to everyone else.Your last line is the beginning, middle and end of all our problems.
It what five years of complete on field ineptitude brings.
Ok but to return to my initial question...You’re looking at this all wrong.

He hasn't been snapped up elsewhere so whatever baggage he's got would seem to be known to the inner scrotes.Owies is not contracted, that's part of the mystery as to why Carlton would let a 30+ forward go
I think they will try to facilitate him going to where he wants IF the deal is acceptable to them, even if it's not necessarily the best deal. They'd prefer us because we can offer the best deal.OK, fair. But we also know Collingwood and Carlton can't / won't offer as much as we have, so surely Port are only going to accept the best offer and it's not up to Houston to make a value judgement on who he goes to, no? If he does, he stays at Port, no?
If he doesn’t sign a contract. I certainly wouldn’t give anything of value for himCan we take Owies in the PSD?

Comes to internet forum wanting mail. When mail doesn’t align to what they want, they ask for source. What's the source for your mail?
Does anyone ever answer that question? What's the source for your mail?

I save Ignore for the mega d!ckheads, not the eternal pessimists.
Picking Paul Roos as a consultant to assist with selecting and recruiting a coach might have been an even bigger mistake.Picking Noble for coach would be the biggest mistake i would think.
