Yes, Harry is Harry DeMattia. Apparently went for scans on Monday for a hand(?) injury. Someone on here said he'd be out for the first 6 rounds. Someone else has since said he's 'done a finger' requiring surgery and will be out for 6-8 weeks.
The club & media hasn't said anything as yet.
Well, son, as a you arrive on the precipice of manhood, certain physical changes take place. Ask your gym teacher. So what's a pull?

At least his development will be benefited by not having a finger, for… reasons…Ive cut it off when I sliced my finger open this morning with a knife.
Sorry Harry.

memoryofmchale seems to have the inside goss on everythingIf 8 weeks is discussed, it probably isn’t a fracture, or “just” a fracture.
Tendon avulsion would be my suspicion.

The extra width of his bandaged finger should make you happy

So what you’re saying is that Harry is going to become Daredevil?Heightens the sensitivity of the remaining fingers… like when a person is blinded and they develop their sense of hearing. If he cuts off all but one of his fingers, the remaining one will be able to feel changes in cryptocurrency values before they happen.

You've missed my point.8 weeks in what will hopefully be a 10 year plus career is absolutely minor.
I have told you it came from the horse himself. He is not responsible for when the media drops a report about injuries. Players are injured all the time throughout pre-season and not a word is spoken about it, particularly at smaller clubs. Eg. GWS.You've missed my point.
The poster said 'On Harry, I have some promising news - he'll be out for about six to eight weeks...'
We're still yet to hear from the club about the injury.
We drafted him. He's now injured. Can someone enlighten me on who Harry (DeMattia?) is and what happened to him?

Yes, I dug myself a ditch with the word "promising" but the injury isn't all doom and gloom. The running work he'll do is ultimately a good thing, even if it wasn't a deficiency. It's not unsual for 18 year old kids to need to improve their tanks to match it with the AFL stars.
To the tendon or the muscle?A strain is a tear.

I cant imagine us announcing it on sunday. So surely before the end of the week.
Tomorrow is the intraclub.
Thur is the final day SSP can train, but thats our players day off, so really tomorrow is the final day (and so friday with the main session, the SSP's cant be there unless announced)
And you have the jumper presentations.. be interesting how they work that.
In front of all the players (& their families) who get rejected? You'd hope they'd tell them beforehand. Awkward.I think there is a Good Chance after Intra Club when they have a Jumper Presentation
The blokes probably know the outcome now. They might need to organise work, organise club footy, make other arrangements, etc.In front of all the players (& their families) who get rejected? You'd hope they'd tell them beforehand. Awkward.
I thought it was George KolombourosThe man in the cap next to Eyre would be Shannon Collins.
It is. I've never heard it used and had to look it up. It sounds like one of those American hybrid, awkward-sounding words though doesn't it? Like the dreaded 'normalcy'.No
Misremembering is a real word
